Crazy i just saw Airwalks at JC Penny buying shoes for my kid. The main shoe i forget the name but you know... the ones everyone used to have, look so stiff and probably are made more for hacky sacking and doing devil sticks more than skateboarding.
Although there was also an Airwalk shirt that said SKATE on it and the A was the logo.
I wonder if this means that Clive is also on JC Penny?

shoes look awful thus far but they had some sick models back in the day. if they could get it together with better products & a great team like they used to have, this could be sick. a lot of deserving people don’t have a proper shoe sponsors or are just getting flowed out so it could be a cool thing.

back in 2004 a small warehouse in my town closed down and they had a sale on old NOS Airwalks, Vans and Keds. 3 airwalks Rodents and Ones for 30$ kept us skating Airwalks for a while. looking back i would have bought his entire Vans stock, they were all US made but 15 year old me didnt know any better.

I love Tony hawk in 2023 tho. I have for some time. He really is a legit skate hero to mad humans and the overall effect seems positive for society.

I remember I somehow got my baby-sitter's brothers old Airwalk snowboard and the first day I rode it someone yelled from under the chairlift " nice airwalk,f%99ot" . I was like 10 years old haha after that seeing that in JC pennys and no idea about jason lee, I also began my dislike of airwalk.

revamp of airwalk was supposed to happen a few years ago. one of my friends was in talks with the suits to get a team together, milic and a few others were pitched but they ended up just wanting two people with 100k + followers on instagram who skated contests. basically the dave and manny combo.

An Airwalk redesign could work, but, they’d need to take the classics and slim them down with a more athletic look.
Too many look like funky clogs or weird colored grandpa pillow slippers.

The year Dre day dropped at my school a culture war peaked. Everyone wanted to be a g. Few years before that it was heavy metal around here. Satanic panic shit.
I was always a punk but suddenly I'm in a new school and it's on AF.
I gotta man up because I'm getting harassed AF and I'm on probation.
This kid threatened me over my shoes one too many times in machine shop so I made a mini baseball bat out of some thick steal stock on the lathe.

If it wasn’t for the caption I would’ve assumed they were airspeeds. Something to be said about being self aware and taking those checks when you can. That said, could be the nail in the coffin of a very talented skater that will never get respect for some reason.

Mid to late 90s Airwalk and Vans would always end up in Ross and that's where Mother would get my shoes from. The other skateboarders would give me a little shit because they weren't Kastels or Duff's. Then, I somehow got some Emericas ... probably from a yardsale and i finally got the respect i deserved.
