Which bums you out the most?
I had a vision of meeting someone at the park wearing an Ace shirt and riding indys and it gave me full body cringe asmr responses, that would hypothetically be way worse to me than wearing adidas shoes and a Nike hoodie or something.
I could personally never ride kader shoes and a kader deck at the same time, I would feel like a meatrider grown man fan
No judgement here I just feel weird doing all those things
-
yo son, i had crazy visions
-
Fuck, I’m old and just happy I remember to put clothes on before I leave the house, let alone give a fuck what I wear or what anyone else wears
-
Just off the top of my head I own a spitfire shirt but haven’t ridden them in years. I own a Vans hoodie but have been wearing emericas and Nikes. I also own a Krux hoodie because I like Marbie and it was on sale but I’d never ride Krux.
-
You’d probably start shrieking if you saw my setup, indy indy hangers on ace baseplates
-
None of them seem that cringe, just wardrobe mishaps
-
Sometimes I’ll wear a Carhartt hoodie with Carhartt pants so they know I’m about to put in some work on these tricks
-
i saw another persons outfit and it ruined my day
-
The only thing that’ll happen if you wear a spitfire shirt while riding bones, is that the bones TM will make you take off your shirt, burn it, and send him the clip
-
Def the shoe thing. Don’t be wearing that adidas track suit with your Nikes peeps.
-

Not like they are different trucks, Ace is just an older stage Indy with a different name. Hardly a stretch.
-
you can dickies and carhart all day long but nike, addias, soletech, ect... shoe brand mixing and matching is punishable by death.
-
I saw a guy walking down the street the other day wearing two completely different shoes. It was a bold look.
-
Wearing ace clothing in general is just nuts. No need to be paying for all that
-
None of these seem that bad (probably because I’m guilty of multiple offenses at various points in my life). That said I’ll rock a dude’s board and his shoes with minimal to no shame (meatrider grown man fan style). Fuck it. I’m 38 and playing with a toy for every spare second I can. I feel like the time will come where I have to stop someday (hopefully decades away). I’ve got no time for shame like that.
-

I always wear full Carhartt because the skatepark is my job site
-
Arcade hat with Toy Machine hoody was a spectacular brand match for me personally.
-
I went with shoe choices although dickies pants and shirts is pretty cringe too!
With wheels, and esp if you ride multiple setups, I think it's pretty chill
-
The most conscious version of myself, the current version of myself will not rep clothing of companies I don’t back/rock.
I just think skating or wearing skate gear is essentially acting as a living billboard. Skate logo’s are extremely identifiable, and something about that bothers me.

But is it better to be all one big billboard or a few smaller billboards?
-
The only skate brand stuff I have with me is my setup, shoes, sometimes pants. Head to toe feels unnecessary.
-
cross branding shoes and another brand of shoes shirt/hoody/hat/socks is the answer.
-
Don’t worry, highschool will pass.
-
I own one skate brand shirt and I usually have a plain hoodie over top of it.
The fact that adults care about this stuff is weird to me.
Another page in the unwritten skate rules
-
yo son, i had crazy visions
Checkitout checkitout checkitout BOOM
-
I feel like I have a lot of eyes on me when I go skating so I give myself the responsibility to look fly and respresent skating in a cool way. It's like you love skateboarding so much you want other people to discover the joy you have for it for themselves.
-
Op You really think like that? Do you cosplay as a sponsored skater? If you’re not sponsored who gives a fuck what brands you combine.
-
shoe brands mismatch is the shit! esos son reebok o son nike? :D

I wear these cause IDGAF

-
Wear what you want. It doesn’t matter
-
It's all just advertising brands, who gives a shit, let it rip my good dudes
-
I can't bring myself to wear my Vans socks while I'm running Cons shoes. But, I will wear my Quasi beanie while skating any board brand. Idk brains are weird sometimes.
-
grown-ass social-media children using some form of the word "cringe"
-
It can matter moreso in footage and photos. Not the biggest deal to wear Nikes and a Vans shirt if you're just skating around, but yeah it can betray a lack of style if it's egregious.
-

radcunt is rad.
sometimes redundant things need to be said or repeated I guess
-
I put an anti hero sticker on my krooked deck
-

lucky for me im not good enough to film anything
im out here rocking indy tshirts with ventures and frog hoodies with polar boards
polar merch is waaaayyyyy too expensive so im forced to not match
none of it matters though if you're not getting paid
-
Most of the time, not a big deal and not cringe for all of these items in this poll. Funny when noticed, but that's usually it.
How dare you put Fred Gall as a poll option! He's the antithesis to cringe.
When filming clips for a video or a proper edit: it's awkward if obvious.
The exception is when it's egregious there'a a mismatch and it looks really out of place. This is common with sport brands and less with skate brands, tbh. Examples:
Nike blazers with the Adidas track pants. That looks weird.
Emerica hoodie with etnies shoes doesn't look that weird.
Lakai t shirt with Huf shoes.
Thunder windbreaker whole skating Ace or Indy trucks. Not that weird but truck loyalists may give you shit for it
Skating is one of the few activities where you can skate one brand and wear a different one for clothing and it's accepted for the most part. Most aren't sponsored so there's no urgency or pressure to match branding on apparel with gear every single session. The same is not seen as often in other sports where people grill you more on running Adidas bball shoes with Nike shorts and Nike socks.
-
Skaters are such a funny dichotomy of working overtime to make sure everybody thinks they don't care, all while desperately caring. I'm not excluding myself from that sweeping generality either.

Aye, yo’, that’s wild: I did too!
-
Conflicting shoe/clothing has always irked me.
-
paying to wear (big visible) logo's is pretty cringy in the first place. If your hooked up, sure.
this might be an unpopular opinion.

Nah. still stands. Wack.
-
I don’t pay attention to any of this shit. I guess I don’t wear my thrift store vans X anti hero hoody with Nikes, but that’s not that hard.
So do y’all have like preset ideas of outfits ahead of skating? Do you use a computer program to verify your outfit works like that girl in Clueless? Also, I’m totally out of the loop but what is Butter and where did it come from?
-
If you wear all butter goods people would run from you

When did those come out, again? I was pretty hyped on them as a kid.
-
Doesn't apply to me because I don't own skate brand clothes but number 2
-
Adidas hat, nike shirt, puma sweatpants, new balance 372816’s, vans socks is my park fit from now on
-
unless youre wearing a shirt with the entire front or backside with the logo of the company & shoes/pants with another company, it doesnt really bother me
idk about cringiest, but i can at least set the ideal for me:
shirt: merch related to your interests/hobby/music/movie/pattern/etc
pants: clothing only big brand
shoes: shoes (mainly) big brand
-
I feel personally attacked by this poll.

I had them as a kid. Damn, memories.

Any pants not Carhartt or Carhartt WIP at this point is cringe.
