Sometimes he walks his dog past my house, but I’m too much of a kook to say hi.
You can feel his good vibes as he walks by, seems like the raddest dude.

Love his Ban This part. Just so different.  I watched it again yesterday and realised he did a heelflip in it. Introducing jeans into skateboarding and always smiling.  He is my number 1.

Not as buttery as his early parts but I’ve got a soft spot for this one because I had the video and it captures a particular moment in skate time.

Just posted in the obscure vids thread, but there’s some early tech Barbee in this vid:

including some nbds, or tricks that had hardly been done by anyone else at the time. My brain still melts when I realize that he can do no pop frontside shoves NOT off the nose !!!

yeah, this vid was a staple in my formative years, he still does have really nice flow despite what he had to work with

When this came out, I tripped because he skated like he was weightless. His wheel slides and no complies were so effortless it was like wax on ice.
This is def his most overproduced part, but I think it did a great job at showing how pretty skateboarding can be.

He's so fun to watch just push around, I really love how flows/rides around in between the tricks. It's like magic. I would be hard pressed to pick another skater who is rad in the many ways that Ray is.

I saw Ray walking his dog down the street this morning. He had a giant smile on his face and looked like he was just loving life. We should all be a little more like Ray.

That frontside flip revert he did over the spine back in the day was beautiful.
