Title: When the cat’s away the mice will play

What kind of shenanigans do you get up to when the boss/manager is absent?

I work at a slow restaurant all day on Saturdays, the boss hasn’t come in the past few weeks and we never have a supervisor on staff so I get to watch whatever I want.
When it’s not skate videos I like to put on hours long compilations of miniature cooking since the boss forbade it.

dang great thread idea but see you soon in the slap Unemployment thread :(

my wife is a manager at a call center where they (managment) just found out about multiple employees who will take customer calls where they won't say ANYTHING to the customer caller and just let the caller just linger on the phone "hello...hello...is anyone there?" until they hang up. Because of these varying call times, it not only appears to managment these employees are doing their job, these same employees have knowingly wrongly accepted bonuses for their call handle quantity.

ride that gravy train with biscuit wheels if they are dumb enough to allow it!

In the navy, when I was left in charge, I would let dudes go immediately as soon as they were done with whatever they were assigned or finished what needed to be done collectively unless they had duty.

I absolutely hated dudes who kept you from liberty for no good reason when all you were doing was manning the shop looking bored. If you were caught up with qualifications and had everything squared away, you earned your rest.

Whatever I want as I’m constantly traveling around & am 75% mobile. Sometimes I don’t talk to my bosses for a month or more.
