That is crazy as fuck, I have a poster of it on my wall. It's the only one on that wall, because anything else is unsuperior. Was this already in a video or is it gonna be in an upcoming video? Hell, I dont even know if it was filmed.
-
Rumor has it that there were some pretty exaggerated camera angles and the bank isnt that steep. Of course, Im sure its still one of the gnarliest things done, Rowley never disappoints. Its crazy that in all his years hes really only had a couple full parts. Im stoked to see the new Flip video, which is what I assume this trick will be in.
-
No matter what that was sick as shit,Def something going on with the angles though
-
everytime that spot is shown, its always at some weird angle so you can't really tell what's going on. I wish they'd just show it normal for once.
-
so who all has done stuff on this? if its the one im thinking of, arto kickfliped into it and jordan hoffart did a varial heel? other than that i cant think of anyone else. hasn't rowley had a bunch of pics of him for vans that havn't released the footage? i was hoping it was gonna be in their video but since thats not gonna happen im glad that they can use it for the flip vid.
-
As far as I know Rowley got a front heel and a back 360 into it. I can't wait to see the footage to see whats really up with that spot.
-
^^^half cab heel
-
is that the same ditch where Dylan Rieder did those crazy wallrides in in a time to shine? if so, then rowley dropped in on it to from liek the srtait up wall, im probably wrong about the spot though
-

lewis marnell skates that spot in lets live. they film the spot straight on and parts of it look as steep as it does in the rowley angle
-
does anyone know where it is?

Im pretty sure it wasnt Rowley that dropped in on it. I dont know if its the same one but Anthony Shultz did it in Back in Black.
-
if its the same one as anthony schultz' drop in from back to black, that spots never been filmed from an angle where you can tell whats really going on... dylan reiders run up the wall ride? and didnt anthony schultz also do a bs kickflip on it? which, if it was a real wall, would be a wallride kickflip to wallride? it makes for interesting footage but i reeeeally feel like i'm getting taken advantage of and i don't like it

looks like the same spot as the one youre talking about, not the one hoffart varial heeled into.
what makes the run up and backside flip possible is that the "wall" is kinda slanted.
seems like rowley 360d into this particular bank.
-
whoa i never knew about this thanks guys
-
isn't that the same spot that slash nollie flipped into?

here's the part, check the ender, i think it's the same spot

wow, thats WAY smaller than i though. dude musta had a game genie hooked up to his cam
-
yeah, tilted camera aside, the size of rowley makes it seem huge in the picture. If it's the same spot, it's way less gnarly looking in Slashes part.
-
that's going to be soooo disappointing if it is the same spot when/if i ever get to see the rowley footage. i guess i should get myself ready for a letdown, it looks the same
-
Yeah, looks the same to me... :'(
-
almost looks like they shrunk rowley down in the photo to make the setup look bigger. not saying they did, because rowley's tight as fuck and I could never imagine him being involved in something like that. but it looks that way a bit.
-
That Slash nollie flip isn't the same spot,
The Rowley back 3 spot is much gnarlier.
-
i think the Slash thing could be the same spot, but maybe a different part of the spot. you could tell there are a lot of other banks at that place.

I'm thinking the same thing. Is that the same spot that's been used as a wallride a lot, too?
-
there are a shitload of spots that look like that all over the southwest.
most, if not all of the spots mentioned in this thread are different.

note the white spots about 6 feet from the bottom in the video and picture

Edit: Note the Caucasian American (though no different and should have equal opportunity as the black spots) spots about 6 ft. from the bottom in the video and picture.
Thanks for the P.C. alert

that's what was making me think it's the same spot too. that and the way the top where the start from is the same.
-
I think Arto switch BS 180ed into it in the Etnies promo
-
In the Rowley 360 photo, the wall at the top of the bank is black and in slash's part its not.

It's a shadow.
-
he did kind of tweak the nollie flip landing which would make him go slow
-
theres no way its the same spot as slash's it doesnt seem possible theyre the same, the 360 looks waaay bigger
-
yah arto saari did some trick into it
i think accouple
-
Is there a name for the bank?

Sturt took the Rowley photo and he always has a way of making things look way bigger than they are. I'm not saying its definitely the same spot, just something to think about...

Our vid has the footage of arto kickflipping into that bank on the other side. Sturt talking shit and shooting it....I put it on youtube and posted it on this other thread but had to take that clip off 'cause Rowley send some text message he wanted to keep that spot secret and not show it to everyone. Arto didn't care but rowley didn't want to spoil it...it's kinda understandable
It's not that steep how it looks in the cover...but it's sick anyways....I can say that but I ain't gonna post that clip anymore....
-
cheat.

nah the spot marnell skates is in australia and its not the same, that spots been in a bunch of melbourne based videos.
-
Yeah the marnell spot is called the Melton drains, heaps of pros have been there recently. Omar broke both his arms there
-
which omar, and at the same time?
-
which omar, and at the same time?
it was in an old the skateboard mag........he tried to tailslide the top and made it all the way down until the hitting the crease at the very bottom, it flung him forward fracture and/or breaking both his arms.
