i've had them all and kostons were my favorite, but they tear up a bit fast.  the toe on the carrolls is too round for my liking, i like the more pointed toe ones.  the mj are way too thin around the ankle and side pannel area, the howards are nicer padded version of the mj, the codas are a little odd fitting and the belmonts hurt your toes.

these are all teh negetive points, but other than that they are one sick line of shoes

Howards are the best imo. MJ were too thin, Carroll got to fucked up quick (the suede around the midsole was lose). Never had kostons because they remind me too much of vans rowleys.

I haven't had any of them, but I am considering trying a pair of howards or carrolls.

Carroll wears them in his Fully Flared part, on the slappy for his intro.

because they're mid-top, they're vulcanized, and they say "portland" on them.

I've had 4 kinds of selects (howard, johnson, carroll, and coda)

and my favorite by far is the howard.

the best padding around the ankle, held up well. they're all really similiar, but my preference is the howard

i've only had the howards. i like them a lot though. i guess the rest are probably really similar, but i really don't like the shape/look of the carroll one.
