...is a very good album... anyone else pick it up/steal it yet?

Only thing I've heard off it was "Too Drunk to Dream", which I wasn't all that crazy about, but I liked that "Gothic Archies" cd that came out last year, so I think Stephin Merritt can still write some good songs.
I wasn't aware it was legitimately released yet, but I'll have to go to the record store tomorrow and pick it up.
How would you say it stacks up against his other releases?

Got it yesterday, have listened to it a few times, but not enough to form a solid opinion on it.
It reminds me more of "The Charm of the Highway Strip", rather than the more recent albums.

These posts aren't opinions, just collections of adjectives and nouns.
If you're saying that "69 Love Songs" was better than "Distortion", then yeah.
However, "Holiday" is the best Magnetic Fields album.
