I remember that was one of if not the first video i ever saw. I had no idea what any of the tricks were, but even then i knew... you can't watch that and not know. ILL. And the song is fucking rad.

why is it that there is such a large number of people whose first video was modus operandi? strange.
that part is pretty good but pales in comparison to others in his day. i still watch it some. like jsoy said, the switch frontside bigspin was the joint. that trick alone is the reason that people say that line is one of the greatest of all times.

but yea i give my parents a lot of credit for gettin me hooked on skating. i always liked it and fucked around on my nash board in the yard in like 6th grade but i never watched videos. then they gave me modus and photosynthesis for christmas one year as my first 2 vids. could you ask for 2 better videos to start with?

Modus Operandi was the last video Ty Evans did with TWS before he left to work at Girl. Then TWS puts out I.E. yeah and we all know how shitty that one was, but they made up for it with Sight Unseen. I like John Holland and Jason Hernandez as far a filming and editing but they have be going a little over board with the dramatics that go on in their videos as of late.
