Before J.T.s part in welcome to hell, theres a short section at a best trick contest where he does a bs 50 50, but who does the lip slide, who ollies the gap, and who grinds the kinked ledge?
-
I have no idea. I haven't seen that video in years.
-
gershon mosley lipslides the rail and i think kareem cambell ollies the gap.
-
I think 5050 the kinked ledge was Ed Templeton (or maybe Geoff Rowley?). Lipslide was definitely Gershon.
-
It was the first x games, I don't recall Ed grinding the ledge, only Kareem's ollie and Gershon's lipslide, with two different shoes...
-
Awesome, right who can list the skaters in the friends section?

Wait, so was it Ed Templeton who did the 5050? Also, there is two friends sections in the video and that question seems a bit ridiculous.
-
Yeah just the one with the Jefferson Airplane song.
-
that comp has been a point of argument with my friends and i for as long as its been around...
is it "5050 grind to wrap up the title" or "5050 blind to wrap up the title", i reckon grind but the audio is shitty
-
....why would it be blind?
hes not even doing it blindside in the firstplace...
-
Chris Senn should have won that best trick contest. You guys know what I'm talking about?
-
Sure, the ollie into the quarter pipe thing.
-
....why would it be blind?

blindside = backside maybe? you never know with those x-games announcers, but i thought they were always saying grind.
-
I thought they said mind, cause maybe they were thinking he was concentrating really hard.

I always thought it was blind, too. Probably 'cause the dumb wench read her cue card wrong and said "blind" instead of "grind".
Wrap up the title. Ha!
Wow.
-
in hokus pokus matt hensley does some sick trick on that flat, white schoolyard rail. did someone say "yeah matt!" or "yeah man!"? major point of contention between my and my friend back then...
-
He cabbed a table
Who gives a shit about what some guy said
-
fuk emm, but cabbin a table is good
-
I know. So is backslide flip grabs over cans.
-
no there gay, any flip grabs r gay
-
Even fingerflip nosegrabs?

"Yeah Matt!" as said by Mike Ternasky(R.I.P.)
-
He died of a car wreck right? Not sure.
-
Yep, old lady in a minivan.
-
does his son skate?
-
I'd have some sense of pride knowing that my father was responsible for putting together some of the sickest teams in the history of skateboarding and helping put out some of the most groundbreaking videos on top of that. Mike Ternasky was so instrumental. Can anyone remember the credit he got from the Lovechild video? I think he helped edit, but my copy isn't with me.
-
i wonder what his son thinks of new plan b
-
the best trick in welcome to hell is JT barefoot lipslide on oside 13
-
I always thought that lipslide was done by Tony Hawk. I remember reading somewhere that he came in 2nd or third in the street contest of the first x-games
-
jt.......50-50 handrail land in manual
-
Maldonado- ollie up the bench, then ollie over that huge wall
-
Satva Leung's nollie backside flip into the old lady was sick.
-
I always thought it would be cool if that was my grandma for some reason
-
Maldonado- ollie up the bench, then ollie over that huge wall
Yeah I still can't figure that one out. That's amazing.
-

yup, came second to Rodil Jr. and shot his board into the water after his last run. Was that Tony's last ever street contest entry?
-
didn't he do a mcwist in the street contest or something similar.
-
joe valdez ollie over board to maual on top of hubba
-
ed frontside feeble on the kinked rail

along with maldonado's ollie from the bench over the wall...why wasn't that the last trick in his part??? i'm still scratching my head on that one.
-
The last trick of the intro where maldonaldo tries to ollie that huuuuge gap and clips...even though he never landed it that shit still hypes me up.

heh, I have no idea why I would read that and remember it, but I think he continued to enter the street comp. of the x games until the late 90s. someone correct me if I'm wrong on this!
aside from all of maldonado's ollies, how about thomas lipsliding that car? or all his car-skating for that matter?
-
I still like Muska's long ass 50-50
-
the back to back barly grind line, or maldonado's landing of an unlandable handrail
no clue, so much sick shit in that video
smith grind stick to hamburger face?
-
jamies line where he wallies the tree is the best editing ever
-
What happend to bails/tantrum-board focusing sections in videos? Modern videos should have those more often.
-
Maldonado- ollie up the bench, then ollie over that huge wall
-
there's so much good stuff but I really liked Ed's front feeble on a rail towards the end of his part, he makes it look so good
-

yea, this is totally true.... back in the middle 1990's tony hawk was of african descent.
-
Ed's fifty to front board on the flat rail always got me psyched. I remember trying them on every flat bar I could when I first started skating.
-
chris senns whole part
-
Best trick is getting your ass kicked at China Banks.
-
Brian Anderson
Front Blunt Hubba Hideout
-
Ed's trick at Harrow skatepark on the cover of the video / Maldonado's ollie over the brick ledge / Penny's kickflip over the rail / Jamie Thomas lipslide (barefoot!)..
-
chris senns whole part
hmmm.

Wow.
wow I really thought she said grind to wrap up the title but i guess not
-
Ed Tempelton showing off his black and blue ball sack is by far the best trick in the video.. and it says grind, not blind. Retards.
