My mac is stuck on one screen, when I turn it on it's just the grey start up screen and it doesn't change just sits there with a grey screen and a little wheel going round and round, not the rainbow wheel though.


I tried putting the start up disc in but it did nothing.


Help please

Insert the disc and reboot holding the C key down. From there you should be able to run a hardware diagnostic to determine if your HD is fucked or what went wrong. Hopefully you'll be able to just reinstall the OS, but you'll most likely loose everything.
