Skate gang?! That's a rad name. The version I saw was called "Thrashin'"
Here's one on that same tip- What was the alternate title to the 1980's skate related movie "Gleaming the Cube"
Title: Re: ain't taking this thread for granted : )
Post by: Magic Pizza on June 25, 2010, 09:26:00 PM
I wish I knew the answer but I got no idea ^^       Is it ridiculous?

The funny thing about "Skate Gang" is that the french subtitle reads something like "Skating is more than just child's play"

But yeah Thrashin' was the version I saw too.

Welcome to the Welcome To Hell edition of trivia, welcome:

In the friends section, who does a 50-50 to 5-0 on a high metal flat rail thing?

Also in the friends section, Ed Templeton is seen 50-50ing a big handrail, then someone comes behind him and lipslides it, who is this gentleman?

In the tour section, what future Zero rider is seen doing a backtail on a car at a demo?
Hint: it's not JT.

Bonus high difficulty question:

How many frontside flips does Muska do in his Welcome to Hell part?
Title: Re: ain't taking this thread for granted : )

Pretty sure it was Adrian Lopez with tha tback tail on the car.

Welcome to the Welcome To Hell edition of trivia, welcome:

Also in the friends section, Ed Templeton is seen 50-50ing a big handrail, then someone comes behind him and lipslides it, who is this gentleman? Geoff Rowley?

In the tour section, what future Zero rider is seen doing a backtail on a car at a demo?

I'm pretty sure dave got it with Adrian Lopez. Though Zero did exist as a concept and have a team when the video came out. Adrian ollies up a bench to gap to backlip the next one in the zero ad

Bonus high difficulty question:

How many frontside flips does Muska do in his Welcome to Hell part?
zero in the final version. As for his part... I'm throwing out 3 muska style frontside flips a guess
You got it with a brother's revenge. My attempts at your questions above in bold

I think it was a board team, but still hadn't really launched yet. Thrill of it all came out pretty soon after. I'm pretty sure Jamie's part was mostly throwaways from welcome to hell and a couple new clips. Somebody pm ISUCK! he can clarify this one.

Alright, lets do more 90's video trivia, this time, mouse:

Who can be seen in a wig frontside boardsliding a small handrail while Rick Howard is driving around in the woods skit?

Why didn't Mike Carroll have much footage in this video?

Who raps in the song in Mike York's part?

What company had their logo removed from later versions of this video? Why?

Who was inside the mouse costume?

and that's right, it is a brother's justice.

Alright, lets do more 90's video trivia, this time, mouse:

Who can be seen in a wig frontside boardsliding a small handrail while Rick Howard is driving around in the woods skit? (http://No idea... Tony Ferguson?)

Why didn't Mike Carroll have much footage in this video? Didn't he hurt his ankle?

Who raps in the song in Mike York's part? Skim the fat says it's "hard to get west coast hip hop", so I'll go with that.

What company had their logo removed from later versions of this video? Why? In N Out

Who was inside the mouse costume? Mike Carroll

and that's right, it is a brother's justice.

In N out is correct, and while York's song is hard to get west coast hip hop, the actual artist's name is important to the answer, and I'm glad skim the fat don't know.

Correct. Ron Allen was the MC.
I thought it was Spike in the costume
I've realized that it is possible that more than one person could have been in the costume, but they show one person who wore it, and the mouse has his style.

A few for the banks, in light of it being officially fenced up:

Who was the first person to ollie out of the little banks and over the wall?

Who ollied over the wall once the metal fence was put up? What happened when the sequence was shot that added something unique to the trick?

Now a difficult one...

Who is the owner of Smash skates? Sam Flood I believe is his name

Who performed the title song?Fuckin' Meatloaf!

What was the name of the joust ditch? I didn't even realize they mentioned its name

Sorry Jed, don't know classic consolidated videos very well, I've seen damaged, but not enough times, same with fucktards.
Name 20 pro skaters from San Jose
Maybe I can, but I'm not going to right now

Name 15 pro skaters from Sacto
Maybe I can, but I'm not going to right now
Name 7 pro skaters from Santa Cruz (the town, S.C. mountain towns like Felton count)
Israel Forbes, Emannuel Guzman, Ron Whaley, Justin Strubing, Jason Jesse, Alan Peterson(?), does Josh Mattson count? He's got a board for some random company? That's all I can come up with for now. I can think of a few ams, but they don't really count as pros
Name 5 pros from the 1970's NOT from the Z-boys
Steve Alba, Micke Alba, Duane Peters, Dave Hackett, Steve Olson

Name 2 skater with the same last name who rode for the same deck company at the same time who were not related  BESIDES Jerry Fowler and Ethan Fowler
Steve and Micke Alba (Santa Cruz?), Jesse and Richard Paez (consolidated)

Who was the first person to ollie out of the little banks and over the wall? Gonz?

Who ollied over the wall once the metal fence was put up? What happened when the sequence was shot that added something unique to the trick?
Mike V, fence breaks

Bronson Canyon Halfpipe
Alan was mostly right, should have been a WHOOOLE watermelon
Andy Roy is indeed from Santa Cruz, AP was from Fresno, of course Mattson counts, I was thinking you would have to check the DAF website for some obscure bro-pro

Gipper was mostly right except it was a hoop, not a hook
and I asked pros with the same last name who were NOT related, I was thinking Crazy  Eddie Nemeth and Joe Nemeth on Scarecrow
