hey dudes, i just got to toronto and will be here for a week or so, jsut wondering if any of you guys know what kind of stuff is fun to skate and do out here. lets go skate!
-
The most fun you'll have in Toronto is leaving. Most people just skate Dunbat park(Dundas and Bathurst) or Bickford(just west of Christie on Bloor) and not much else. Dunbat will be the place to meet up with some people to skate with. The downtown core is pretty dead but it's worth a check if you've never been. Uptown (uoft-bloor) is worth a look as well. There is also some stuff to skate or just to explore on the waterfront. I'm not much into the nightlife, so I'll let someone else handle that although I'd recommend taking a stroll through Chinatown/kensington/Queen west for cheap food and people watching. If you're into toursity type of stuff there is Center Island, Ontario Place, Exhibition and Blue jay tickets are dirt cheap. I can PM directions to any of these spots/places if need be.

Yeah, sure...
There are lots of spots everywhere you go, just skate around and see what you can find.

Try to find Zanta!

if you want a park, hit up dunbat or ashbridges in the beaches area. its on lakeshore and coxwell. otherwise, like buddha mentioned. the downtown core is pretty dead. you'll find a bunch of spots uptown and in the waterfront area. if you're looking for a bar hit up queen west.

There are tons of spots around everywhere. I like to start down at Union Train Station and work my way up Bay street. Bay Street and King has quite a few spots. Look for the "TD" buildings and skate around it. If you want to meet people and ask about spots you should go to Dunbat park. Dundas and Bathurst. Everything is within skating distance.

Yeah it sucks. Nothing to skate there. Only one of the best cities in the world for skating.
Maybe jaded locals think it sucks but its amazing.
Ashbridges Bay park is a good starting point. From there just explore.

If you start around Davisville you can hit spots all the way to downtown. And it's mostly all gentle downhill skating between spots.
-
don't be stupid about it and try driving everywhere. take a push around the back alleys and see what you can find.
-
I went there to visit a friend maybe 10 years or so ago. I skated this one school with these curved ledges like a big three block or something, shaped like a C. Is that still around? I definitely remember a lot of random spots cruising around-hubbas, ledges, double sets, manny pads, everything.

Just get wasted and smoke some of that fine Canadian bud.

This. ^
You might wanna start with this thing (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=yonge+%26+balliol,+toronto&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Yonge+St+%26+Balliol+St,+Toronto,+Toronto+Division,+Ontario,+Canada&z=16&layer=c&cbll=43.697014,-79.396338&panoid=9P8HoA_2Iu9Bpvz_zpKRGw&cbp=12,57.26,,2,5.56). It's really fun.
Dunbat is basically just a flatground session, usually too crowded. Don't bother. Just go downtown and cruise from spot to spot. Bring a big brick of wax.
-
Yeah, move it to Trivia, that usually helps.

Pretty much. I still can't believe it when I hear someone say we don't have spots, there's still so many untouched spots just waiting to be skated.

people who are too lazy to look would think that way. they also come off negative and pussy like too.
commercial d's map to that spot is a really fun time and as mentioned before, all down hill to hit many other spots like marble ledges and gaps.
if you need any help with anything while you're here 30 helens agree shoot me a pm.
