Meanwhile, some drama erupted when DGK's Stevie Williams and former DGK rider Darren Harper got into a scuffle out on the course. Security broke up the fight after a few punches were thrown. Though the drama seems to have just added to the street credibility of the DGK (Dirty Ghetto Kids) brand, I couldn't help but feel second-hand embarrassment for the two men, both of whom are adults with children, for acting the way they did in front of so many of their fans.

^ I think Lenny Rivas comes from some people who were not in their right minds, and has been further speculated upon by people who weren't there and took the accounts at their word.
I put city in quotes around San Diego because there is no city to be found there, just a bunch of linked up suburbs and beach towns. It spreads across two large counties and is filled with undeveloped space.
As far as it being shitty, I guess that's just a personal opinion. Washington street park is dope as fuck though, and I respect everything about that place and the people who built it.
Also, I do know there are bad parts of that "city," so I'm not trying to claim Lenny is soft or anything. I really don't know the dude at all, and make no judgments on him in terms of that.

Not really. I guess it depends on what was said, but it looked like two dudes having words/arguing. To randomly try to get one hail marry in with 50 people standing around + security is not a fight. I know I don't live in the hood at all, but I've definitely seen some fights in school in some pretty hood places that erupt out of seemingly nowhere. Usually though, you end up talking to the kid who starts the fight and it has nothing at all to do with the kid he hit. It'll be some shit about his family getting kicked out on to the streets or some other insane life stress that is piled on top of all sorts of other bullshit, and then one little thing set him off. Usually though, that shit is pretty much considered a sucker punch if you didn't at least square up first.

I don't know. The board thing is still OD though. I mean if Spencer came in swinging with his fists, then this whole fiasco wouldn't even be a big deal. It only got real when he hit Darren in the head with a skateboard when he wasn't looking...which luckily didn't go totally wrong. Nothing was going to happen though. Security was on lock and there was no real threat to Stevie to back him up. I mean....would Spencer have done that if there was no security and there as only Stevie and Darren's peoples? That's true, but aside from my point. Stevie was well established by Chocolate and DC by the time he started the brand, and certainly wasn't lying his head down in an apartment with bars on the windows anymore.
He has appeared to stay loyal to his friends, and I didn't/don't mean he forgot about them, which is rad. I don't know anything about that dude Rasoul Allah aside from the fact that he is one of Stevie's old homies from the LOVE days who came with when Stevie blew up. That's rad. Its just that Stevie isn't quite living that hard knock life anymore.
Basically, the DGK thing is an image based on shit he grew up on, but doesn't really live anymore, as far as I know.

Call me a fool, but I declined my job offer at my internship because I couldn't deal with all the gassed up egos in the industry, from producers to cameramen(I interned at a local satellite communications company). Real talk this dude "shood" me like a fly one day while I was taping cables down at a shoot. I could have said something, but I wouldn't have graduated if I didn't finish my internship.
Now I wipe ass and help my mentally and physically disabled homie get dressed for work every morning for a mere fraction of the pay I could have had. I can honestly say I'm proud of what I do, but I'm not gonna front like I wish I wasn't eating better. :-\

If you square up and scream on someone, it's fight time. It's not "look tough" time. It's fight time. Ever hear the term "fightin' words"? What exactly do you think that means? There are no cheap shots if you're in someone's face. How can you not figure that out?
A cheap shot is getting punched when you have your back turned, you're holding your kid, you're in handcuffs, etc. etc. etc.
What happened here is actually as fair as it gets.
definitely agree. if you watch the video, they were arguing, then darren is like "YOU'S A BITCH ASS NIGGA!!!" and some other shit that i couldn't make out, then he throws a punch at stevie. maybe if the conversation stayed somewhat calm, the way it was before darren blurted that shit out, i could understand stevie not expecting it, but after he was screaming that shit, definitely no way stevie was surprised.
i was kinda surprised by how that played out from the closer angle, stevie really came at him and looked to have landed some punches.

Stevie was calm and collected. In fact he appears to say "why you doin it here" and "why you doin it like that fam" multiple times. After Darren swung on him he went around a mob of people to make sure he knocked Darren a few times. Whether Darren threw a sucker punch or Spencer acted out of line, Stevie acted like any true gentleman should have, and for that im sure his legend status will remain intact, if not grow. Cant wait to see his DGK part.

ok three things i noticed from the two new vids.
1. whoever said stevie dodged the punch, to me it looks like darren just clipped him on the chin. it definitely wasn't a full blow but TO ME it totally looked like he got a piece of stevie.
2. in the beginning of the second video you can see what appears to be spencer hopping around a little bit behind the crowd. when i looked closer it looks like spencer's gay ass yankee hat, and a small logo on the top middle of his t-shirt back. same thing he's wearing later. anyway, at first i couldnt tell but i could obviously see him jumpin around like he's all hyped to fight, and then i saw his board in his right hand at one point looking like he was damn ready to swing.
3. last thing was during the slow mo of darren getting hit (with the deck not the truck like some people thought in the beginning) i could see darren was kinda hopping backwards right when he gets hit and you can tell his head and body in return hella absorbed the impact, it seemed like nothing. i was just stonedly wondering if his feet were planted would the blow done more damage?
bonus: i was seriously bummed when i didn't see the situation in these new vids stomping that security guard. even tho i've seen the old videos already.

edit: at :43 on the second new vid, you can see spencer bashing his board truck first into darren's ribs like right under his armpit.

as far as dudes scurrying away, that had more to do with running from cops/security than running from the fight itself.
trust me, if there was no one their to stop it, dudes would've rumbles.
