thats why this trick is nearly impossible to do on flat (at once that is, no sliding)
karl watson is not a big pop skater anyway, right? (that's what surprised me about the waist high flips neon blitz talked about)

Ok so here is a better question. Would frame 7 work as a full page still? To me it wouldn't. I think as a video clip it would be great but I have a feeling that if it was a less popular skater there would be a pop flag on the play.

Yeah I see your point. But sometimes the skater makes the trick. It's so much nicer to watch when its a little fucked up in a good natural way.

Not people, just me. Everyone else seems to love it. I think its a sick trick but just called it out because I have been chatting here long enough to get the hate vibe but still don't know which skaters the rules don't apply too yet.

But Terry's was pretty lame and just seemed to have a negative vibe and image to it. Karl's was like a rip on it, but it almost seemed like it had a positive spin. Almost like "Karl rips too, but who gives a fuck, its all about what makes you happy." What makes Karl happy is switch inward bigspin heelflips, what makes terry happy is bling. Its funny too, because in Karl's ad, the "bling shot" was inconsequential, and its all about the trick, in Terry's, the trick was inconsequential, and its all about the bling.
As for the "slap double standard," its pretty easy to figure out. There are 2 kinds of skaters here, the "cool" ones and the "lame" ones. The cool ones can do no wrong, the lame ones can do no right. Its all black and white, a lame dude can NEVER do a cool trick, and a cool guy's trick is ALWAYS cool. The details people argue about, style (robotic? Faked? just plain ugly?), trick selection, personality (I HEARD he's a dick, I HEARD he's super nice), don't really matter in the end, its just fodder.
