I think I saw him at the hood games this past weekend.

My first pro model. H-Street board. This dude is SO sick.

Watching that makes me want to skate more than I already want to skate.
Does anyone know where that park is at?
-
wow holy shit! i thought he was like 40 tops and that was still making me psyched to be getting older and keep skating, but 48!?!? awesome.
-
I had a few of his minis back in the day. His 1 foots scared me :D

-
This guy kills the Berkeley park. Huge 5-0s through every corner

everytime i see that board all i can think of is that kid holding it in Hokus Pokus: "RON ALLEN GAVE IT TO ME AND I AM STOKED!!"
-
I haven't really been feeling it for about a month, but this just really made my day, and gave me some much needed inspiration. Hells Yeah, Ron. ;D
-
i wanna be skating like that when I'm 48
still got 12 years to go so there's plenty of time to improve :-)
-
Lines for days!
-
after the most depressing session ever at the new berrics park I had to do some soul searching as to why on earth I still skate at my age. Though I answered my own question by leaving that park and going to another one and having a great time, this video is going into my bookmarks under the inspiration tab.
-
this should be 100 people's entries in the "parts i have on repeat" thread. twice as old as me, and killing it harder than ever. i need to get my hands on a ron allen board.
-
this made me so happy
-
sick. a postive racial stereotype, blacks dont crack.
-
Holy fuck, that was great.
-
So he was in his late 20s when he was filming for Soldier's Story?
-

Yeah. Like 28. If I recall he does like an airwalk or bicycle kick to a rail in it ;D
-
damn, killed it.
-
He's still got those Ollie Airwalks on style lock. Classic RA!
-
does anyone know what park that is? I wanna say it looks a little like the plans for the Fremont park i saw on YouTube.
-
that park is in st helena ca.
one of the best parks i have ever been to.

i was about to say the same thing. Ron's about twice my age and is fucking killing it.
i'm genuinely really stoked for him.

What wood does Creation use. Ron Allen deck is on my shortlist.
-
when pros get old a lot of them can't keep doing really difficult/cutting edge tricks, but you can still tell their pro status from their ability to put lines together like this, pretty much at will and spontaneous. That probably makes no sense but fuck it.

I LOL'd
also, that was fucking great.

Yeah Thomas Taylor told me Ron Allen didn't turn pro till he was 32 years old, doing the math that seems a little off, but yeah he would've been around 29 in 91 when he turned pro.
There was also that Fun video back in the day and instead of names they put numbers and it took a while till i realized the numbers were they're ages. Ron allen was #33 back then, i think Brad Staba was #13 or 14
-
This and seeing Lester Kasai rip at 45 yrs made my day!
-
So sick. Didn't they have that one life logo back in the day that spelt death if you turned it over? Anybody know what I'm talking about? Either way.. Inspiring to see this.

when i'm 48 my dauther will be 13, son will be 10 and my new baby will 9 so this clip definitely got me stoked as it seems promissing to get some family sessions going as i get older. looking forward to my kids getting better than me but want to make it at least slightly challenging for them.
wish more older guys skated like this. use the whole park, try some new tricks, etc... the whole padded up, bowl barney, carve and never fall thing is kind of depressing and keeps me on the solo missions.
-
damn, killed it.
he sure did!

I love the way he skates. The song was pretty sick too.
-

layback grinds are sick! I have no idea how they shift their weight back to come back in
