so rad to see you sharing skating with your son and i'd love to be at that level on day. my kids are really young and love skating but their young age makes it so that i have to choose either get a skate session for myself or to spend the session spotting them skating because they can't veture out on their own yet and don't have the patiences to take turns yet. at what age did your son start doing his own thing so you could both enjoy the session together and how did you work your way up to that point from when he was a toddler?

How did riding for supernaut come about and how long did you skate for them?
Did you ride for sheep shoes too? You were in the end of the video life of leisure.
What about riding for antihero? You were on tour with them for tent city and even rocked one of their flannels for an ipath ad.

I forgot to ask you about something completely different.
The only time I got to see you skate in person was at the 40 yard in Atlanta back in 1999. You were trying to frontside nosebluntslide an office desk that was falling apart with each try you took. When I was for sure you'd give it up since the desk was just wobbling like mad, you would still soldier on and keep on trying to make it. I don't even think anyone was filming this but I was so stoked at your determination.
My question is this. When do you make the determination to back down from something you're trying? How often do you skate janky obstacles like that? Do you derive a greater sense of accomplishment rolling away from a trick off of something that is the polar opposite of the perfect spot?

I thought I was the only one.....no one ever talks about this and its mad old news. The corporate takeover or influence of a company doesn't necessarily have to be a negative thing but in this case it fucked up my favorite footwear company. I thought it would finally be great people like Timberland would deservedly pay a group of dudes handsomely even if they weren't in the x-games or throwing themselves off buildings. Couldn't have been further from the truth. I still don't know why they even bothered keeping Rodriguez and Reed.

i tried cutting my bushings in half with a razor blade once and it didn't go very smoothly.....what bushings do you ride and is there any sort of preparation that goes into cutting them in half?
are there any tricks that you've found that you are unable to do(but wish you could) as a result of your trucks being as loose as they are?

The first skate video I have is "Thrasher- hitting the streets." At one point they break away from a montage and there's a bloody dude in a bathroom saying "This is what you get when you try to film Matt Rodriguez" Then you say "You gotta keep up with the speed!" What happened?
What happened to Satori too? They were like THE hippie team at one point, and then every ripper left pretty much, almost all at once. Coincidence, or did something go down with management?
You have that full on hippie thing going, but honestly, would you fuck a girl who never shaved anything? If she lets the pits go I'm ok with it, but legs and vagina need to be kept smooth in my book.

I asked Organikarl this same question (you should totally ride for Organika by the way, it would be the best thing ever), You seem to be on your own trip when it comes to making up tricks. Whereas most people tend to build directly off of what other skaters are doing at the time, you seem to be coming up with your own stuff out of nowhere. What inspires you to come up with the tricks that you do?
