anyone know any good ones?  i'm trying to convert this video that is a .mov file into a .mp4 file. so far no luck...

If you can find an older version (new ones want you to pay for shit, go figure) RealPlayer used to come with a pretty good video converter, with all sorts of acceptable input/output formats. It also came with a nice little browser plugin to download flash videos that came in handy all the time.
