i cant get my bearings out any tips on how to getting them out. i tried to get them out with my trucks but it just to damn or i am to damn weak
-
dont bother, just go get a complete from wallmart or argos and start afresh
-
Pry on the bearing with a screw driver like you would with a truck, getting alot of leverage. Only as much as you feel comfortable with, as not to break the bearing. Depending on how long you had the wheels and bearing, the bearing might be embedded into the wheel.

You're weak as piss, try olive oil and the axle.

Its not hard, put a screwdriver in the middle and put your foot on the wheel and pry it out.

These guys are all wrong. Don't listen to them or else you could cause serious damage to your bearings. The key is to soak your wheels, with the bearings in them, inside of a bowl of salt water for 5-6 hours.

Probably better not to detach the wheels. This might have spread all the way through the deck. One day in a bath should loosen out the tightness. For best results, fairly hot water and add a knob of butter.

donkey lips are you serious ? dont know if water will be good for tha bearings i might try the olive oil thing first

When I was like 14 I went over to my buddie's place to meet up and skate. I had to wait for him though.......he was washing his bearings in the sink. I think he got one more day out of them.
-
well, i guess he didnt use saltwater then.
-
please i dont want my bearing to fall victim to the struggle.

I was at my familys cabin skating limestone type natural beach quarter pipes, when 2 of my bearings got limestone dust and locked up. We didn't have any extra table salt so I just tied my trucks to a boulder, and let it sit overnight a few feet deep in the ocean. It almost worked even better, I think the waves crashing all night stimulated/loosened the crud in the bearings even more, they skated better than ever that next morning

ok now that sounds more reasonable, i guess i have to aproach this whole taking bearing out thing like if i was contstipated

Sounds crazy, but I heard urine works too! :o
-
Nah, you pour cyanoacrylate into each bearing, spin the wheel once, and allow 20-30 minutes for it to really get in there.
-
insert flaccid penis, achieve erection, pull.
-
if you loop each wheel onto a string and wear it as a necklace, then wait for a full moon, climb your highest local peak, strip yourself naked (except for the wheels), and dance in endless rotations to late night maudlin street by morrissey then you should begin to cry and the tears will run down your cheeks onto the bearings and they will be set free, ready for you to bomb back down the hill on a fresh setup
-
Just go to a shop and see if they can do it for you?
-
Tie your wheels to a kite and fly it during a thunderstorm. Use a lot of string to get the kite way up there and watch out for those pesky fucking trees.

This is for long boards, but it's the same principle.
Just lay the deck flat on the floor, put one knee on it, put the wheel slightly on the truck axle, and then lean it towards the floor, having your weight behind it. It may take some time, depending on how tight the wheel is gripping the bearing it's self. But you'll get them off.

I can just imagine the looks on their faces

Last kid who asked in my shop was handed a screwdriver and told to toughen up.

It's true... especially if you put the urine in salt water. The nitrogen in urine helps to temporarily contract the wheel (by microns) allowing the bearing to practically fall out. The saltwater helps remove unnecessary moisture (when they're done in the soak), and since oil based lubes in the bearing aren't water soluble, you don't have to juice 'em back up after treating them.
If you have white wheels, dry them out in direct sunlight. Expose as much of the wheel as possible for a few hours, then flip them over and do it again. The UV light removes the nitrogen and any microscopic water molecules that could possibly be trapped from doing a proper wheel drench.
Edited to add: I'm not sure about dyed wheels/sunlight but they should fare fine.

The salt water breaks up the grime on the bearings and separates dirt from bearing lube. It's the same reason people brush their teeth with salt water when they live on an island. The dirt separates from the bearings and they can just slide out of the wheels afterwards. Trust me. I've been doing this for years with no problems.
Urine will probably work too.

So, do you lube them up after good and proper or are they ready to rock straight of?

I'm not sure if this is correct. But you make it sound the most correct.

Just take it to a skateshop. I'm sure anyone at any skateshop can pop it out in 5 seconds. Plus you will make their day, they will get a good laugh at how weak and regular you are. Support your local skateshop.

Boy Butter? works best for me.

if the salt water doesn't work, all you need to find is a strong magnet.
