In like 4th or 5th grade i went over this kid's house with another friend and slept over. Dude was the biggest spoiled rich kid brat ever and his Dad tended to everything he needed. This all ties into me making a fake Myspace about him once as a joke. Pretty sure no one ever found out. Anyway, he's got like 46k likes on this shitty Bruno Mars cover and is posing with Madonna now. Not really jealous as much as i am shocked.

I feel like multiple people having that kind of association with anyone famous is very unlikely. But to keep it general, Andrew W.K grew up in my area, and apparently before he moved to New York he was a pretty reputable guy in the local music scene.

Not confirmed but one chick I went to school with takes some ritzy pictures, says she is a "model". She went all over the world, paying by herself and somehow manages to go to a university. Wasn't smart in high school and she had bad grades probably since she fucked around a lot (Schoolwork and dudes meat swords). I think she is in the entertainment biz doing light porn or something. dude was super good at every sport, particularly basketball, soccer, and skateboarding
he nollie bs 180 a 12 stair in his first year skating and charged the city's 16 handrail, which was the biggest thing for us ever 8 years ago
he stopped skating to focus more on soccer and played professionally in several mexican clubs,
right now he's in the process to join the USSF

I went to school with Lorne Balfe, who is Hans Zimmer's regular composing partner. I knew him pretty well actually, because we were in the same year and it was a boarding school. He composed the music for Inception, the Dark Knight series and the new Sherlock Holmes movies etc. He also does the music for a lot of games, including COD: Modern Warfare 2.

An older guy who was doing graffiti and skating back in the late 90s became a mainstream raggae artist. He even has some of his songs in the MTV here in my country. A year ago he came skating with us and he was pretty nostalgic about those times. I am too even though i started skating in the early 00s when their scene was declining.

There was rumors going around my school that a few of the students partied with Yellowcard. I guess they were coming through town and had a bunch of beer in their trunk and hopped out to ask some people hanging out on the street if they wanted to party. This is pretty surprising to me as they were a devout Christian band if memory serves me right. Who wouldn't have wanted to drink with the writers of "Ocean Avenue" in 2007?

I got my black belt during elementary school with the mother of Shannyn Sossamon, Sherry. Shannyn went to my same high school about ten years before I did. She's an actress and played drums for the band Warpaint. Her most famous movies are probably "40 Days and 40 Nights" and "A Knight's Tale" with the late Heath Ledger. She was also in that HBO show, "How to Make it in America." Her mom was not bad looking, either.

Actually this reminds me of a somewhat related story. I was at the a bar with one my friends and this group of four dudes walked in and were being relatively obnoxious. They had pretty strong English accents and were playing up the whole snotty Brit gig. It was kind of weird to see at the particular bar that we were at given it's reputation as being a little bit of a blue collar dive. As they started getting lit they got really annoying and throwing the anti-'Murica swag. I went outside to hang out on the balcony and walked back in to find my buddy tossing one of the fuckers down a flight of stairs. Nothing like seeing a loud mouth Brit in skinny jeans and scarf tumble end over end down the stairs. Apparently some words had been exchanged and my buddy decided to throw down with them but that's all that really came of it and they just kind of scampered off.
About a week later I was a doctor or dentist appointent sitting in the waiting room and I picked up an issue of Rolling Stone. I was flipping through the pages and just about shit myself when I saw a picture of the dudes on the inside cover. I hadn't heard of them at the time but it turns out my buddy had tossed one of the dudes from Kasabian down the stairs.

my first day of school when i moved to vancouver in grade 8 i sat down next to this kid in science class who asked me if i had ever seen weed before, then pulled a nug out during the lecture and ate it. after he told me about how he took out his foster mom's cornea with a paper clip.
i think he dropped out or something a year later, and long story short i saw him on mtv a couple weeks ago as he is now apparently carly rae jepsen's bassist and tours with justin beiber.

Little Richie from Family Matters lived on my block growing up from the age of about 8-10. We hung out but he was always kind of a prima donna. I remember when I moved away, I was taking photos with all my friends and I asked him if he wanted to take a photo and he said he would have to ask his publicist. This was a few years after the show ended, I don't think he has really acted since.

People there were really mean to him. He drove a Miata (big surprise) and it was keyed all the time. He was cool as fuck and knew a ton of magic tricks.

I went to highschool with Jerome Dyson, who played for UCONN in college and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Didn't speak to him much, but seamed like a good dude. Chicks at my school were all over him like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
Also, though not really considered famous in the terms of athletes or actors, Jeremy Elkin and I were in the same highschool as well. Still a close friend.

One of my graduating classmates got second at a winter dew tour ski halfpipe event last year. Hasn't really blown up yet though due to injuries. Used to skate with him and we hang out every now and then still.

Will Ferrel went to my high school and came back to video announcements for us one week, which was pretty funny. The lead singer of Rage Against the Machine went to my junior high, but my favorite is that AVE went to my junior high as well. My math teacher, who was awesome, knew I skated all the time and pulled out an older year book and showed me his pic and said I might know him because she heard he became a pro skater. She said he was a really bad student, but she liked him and him and a friend doodled all day for a clothing company they said they wanted to start.

I also used to play in the same summer basketball league as John Wall. Dude is a dick, but in a "early 90's Mike Carroll too talented for his own good" kind of way. His one year in Kentucky actually did him a lot of good and im stoked on his NBA career.

A friend of mine is best friends with Sam Worthington. They were drinking buddies for years, and he was telling me about this big James Cameron movie his friend was in years before Avatar. Sam flew him out to the US for some premier or another and again, to go on screenwriting courses. He's got pictures of them both playing with Avatar action figures on his facebook. Must be pretty crazy to have a close friend go from being a relative unknown to a multi-millionare household name overnight.
