Not really sure the story of his accident, but the dude seems psyched to be back and skating and that's all that matters.

Awesome interview. His last question was especially cool.
I met this dude when I was maybe 10 or 11 at an AWS/habitat demo in Ohio. I was asking all the pros to sign a copy of slap that I had brought and he had a sequence run in that issue so he opened it up to those pages and signed there and then gave me a shirt (Fred Gall signed) that I still have today. I was blown away.
That experience couple with his mosaic/static parts make him one of my all time favorites. Hope he makes a hell of a recovery.

So is World's Best Brunch with Jimmy Arrighi already done? Those were so much better than Free Lunch but there hasn't been a new one in weeks.

He looks really healthy too so I think hes almost back to 100 percent in skating too

dude is fucking weird or was weird idk that was entertaining though. he has one of the best styles ever in skateboarding and i'm glad he's able to still be a part of it, certainly a lucky guy.

He really reminds me of Isaac Brock, looks and behavior. Super talented from a young age, darling of the culture he was in, fucked up all the time, and then somehow cleaned up and got a life back on track that seemed like it was on a really negative route.
I think Danny's skating is better than Brock's music right now, though.

I still remember the only time I saw him was at the Stereo anniversary art party here in SF like 6 years ago. Dude was just lit and drunk. It all seemed normal to me but just with the rumors that was out and then with his accident a little after that, you can tell dude was just on that level on getting drunk all the time.
I dig Politic more than any other indie brand right now. I hope those guys do well.

He goes into detail about the accident in a Jenkem interview. It's definitely worth reading.
Really glad to see him doing so well. I met him through a friend when I moved to Tampa in the late 90's and he was nice enough to show me a couple of spots.
It's been said before but he's definitely got one of the best styles of all time. Not many people can make a varial flip look good.

i remember watching him in the red bull video, his voice sounds mad different now. dude is by far the epitome of a skater. its honestly hard for me to watch any other skater and not compare them to him. he just did it the way its sposed to be done. cant wait for incognito.

Strange to hear this guy speaking coherently and seeming normal. I've had this vision of him over the years being this sub-human shitbag type who's wasted 24/7 and fucking with people. Now it seems like that description is more apt for his bro Ryan Nix.
