Post by: Sleazy on January 02, 2007, 11:14:18 AM
Anyone know a way to hide open windows by pushing a hot key combination? I of couse want this for chatting here at work. I did it by accident the other day and can't figure out how now.

You could also Alt + Tab... make sure you have your windows placed in the right location, and have one window running with Wall Street Journal or some business application.

yeah, I work in Developer Studio mostly and it has a shit load of sub windows

so I usually make my browser the exact size of one of the sub windows and if someone tries to creep then I click on msdev or alt + tab

But I wanted to try out the full on window hiding.

An intern who did some work for me this summer uses a Mac and he showed me a hide all\zoom out type feature on mac's and mentioned that there was a plug-in for windows that did the same thing. Might be worth checking out too.

Are you talking about Expose'?

There's a Windows version out there that has Spyware, so just watch out before you install.

yeah, I think that is it. It makes the screen jump way back so that all the windows become really small.
