this shit is so hard to play! im a sucker for skateboard related iphone games, so i usually download anything that makes it into the app store no matter how kooky it is. after getting shitty game after shitty game i finally just downloaded a gameboy emulator and play tony hawk ps3 all the time instead. it makes the subway bearable at 8am.
also, this probably needs to be moved out of photos/videos.

Transworld is like the pennys bra catalog , it got the job done when your were young and had never seen anything. As you get older you start wanting to see some penetration and hear some dirty words so you pick up a Thrasher, when your tired of that you try to look for what really gets you off and thats where independent publications come in.

weird line up of skaters and I feel they may have exaggerated the pop for dramatic effect somewhat.
In fact taking that song into account they may have straight ported a game from 2001 and just renamed malto and decenzo's characters and called it a day.

When I was younger I would choose TWS as my once a month mag cause it was thick as fuck.
Then I realised I was thick as fuck and bought Thrasher.
Now I just look at Slap.

High Speed used to have the deal where if you spent $35 on their online store you got a year sub to Thrasher and Slap. Kept me getting mags for like 4 years straight. TWS was never worth the $ to me.
I too enjoyed the porn analogy but I looked at it differently:
* Transworld had a lot of content, and usually really good photography om high quality paper. More like the Playboy of skate mags- too perfect and very far from my reality.
* Thrasher was more like Hustler, raw and sleazy.
* Slap was like LA Xpress- Cheap paper, thin, but had some content gems and got the job done when you were finished with the bigger ones.
* Big Brother was like Nugget Magazine- so fucked up that you just had to look but you afterward you felt like sitting in your closet weeping and coddling a baggie full of women's toenail clippings and discarded hair.

Has anyone played touchgrind? That game was fun for awhile. I tried playing true skate but it wasn't near as good.

I'm glad someone beat me to the comment about how Transworlds used to be dictionary-sized. They were actually dope in the late 90s for a minute, look at some old Thrashers vs some old Transworlds and the overall quality in Transworld is better. Shitty corny writing, tho
