Anyone that saw the broadcast witnessed the 2nd and 3rd runs. Some of the best skating to go down at Tampa this year, Micky Papa would have taken it but bailed a trick midway and couldn't make up for it.
Best trick contest was a gongshow. Super annoying to see someone try switch tail 270 10 straight times. IF YOU ENTER A BEST TRICK, MAKE SURE THE TRICK YOU TRY WILL WIN 1ST PLACE. It's better to fail than do some mediocre trick noone cares about. Fuckin so irritating and disrepectful for the guys killing themselves on NBDs

knibbs should've won or at least placed. I was there, and the energy in there was crazy when he was going, doing tricks or not. Other than that, everyone was relatively quiet when everyone else was skating.

It definitely was a good run, but there for sure is such thing as little kid points. If you saw the exact same run from a 19 year old that no one has heard of, the results probably wouldn't have been the same.

That kid was flying. He bailed a lot though from what I saw (first and second run.) I think the energy was like that because he's from Tampa. Really good skateboarder nevertheless.

I thought micky papa run was much better, he fliped in to every grind, switch too. Kinda disappointed he got second to some kid and I dont even like him that much. Kid also has similar backstory with Nyjah so I am told, he is being trained by his father to skate or something like that. Almost needs to welcome Papa to the team.

Not even going to watch it, but I remember seeing one where his dad talks about how he goes the skatepark right after school and trains for x amount of hours every day. Super lame

I don't think anyone should be allowed to place in the top 3 in a contest if they do that annoying fly out, drop right back in combo. The judges count lip tricks as tricks too, you know.

Knibbs should have won, the results have seemed flawed at Tampa for years, even though the judges are all respectable dudes. I don't doubt that his leaving for Boardr affected his placing.
Best trick of the entire contest was during the courtyard Nike demo when Cory Kennedy flew out and hung from the rain gutter, which then bent and spilled its contents on Cory and the concrete course.
This year was good cuz I didn't black out even once :)

I'm convinced these kids who skate the mega like these kids are gonna have serious long term health issues, people question letting kids that age play football or contact hockey at their ages. The kid is gross to watch. Anyone with little kid style, no matter how good, should never be able to win a contest. Style should be factored in and if it was the kid wouldn't be in the top 10. Politics are bullshit, Tampa used to be better than that before the whole split up and Boardr starting up.

This contest might as well be "Tampa Flow". Do companies even have "Ams" anymore? Seems like as soon as you get 10 fans you're getting a pro deck. I get it that you can make more money, but you could probably stretch that out for 2 more years while building hype and awareness for the brand and THEN turn the guys pro and sell their shit. These might as well just be any other local Tampa contest, as long as you have a car and rep-flow then you're in.

250 ams entered, usually comes down to the final 10 park skaters. If you can a better run than Papa or Jagger you're pro already, thats how high the level of skating is these days.

this guy had the most well rounded run. seemed like the little kid had probably the hardest run with the most street variety, nibs was the local favorite and then that other guy had sickest just raws street line with all the ledge tricks.
i preferred all the other videos to jagger except maybe nibs. it was definitely sick to watch but it seems a little weird to not do any street skating in a contest like this in the same way it seems weird not to do any ramp tricks. that dashawn guy had the best run to me.

That run was his semi-finals run...FYI to everyone commenting why he didn't win. With that run he definitely would have won the entire event, but that was to qualify for the finals, which he did comfortably in first place. But he had 3 tries in the finals to make that run and couldn't do it. It was one of the best runs I've seen there even without using the entire course. If you're going to skate 2-3 obstacles the whole time, you better do it like that and just fuck up the ledge nonstop.

Jagger lives in my city, and his dad owns a huge indoor gym/skatepark. The park is actually pretty fun, so I skate it occasionally. You gotta pay $15 for 3 hours. Anyways, my friends and I were skating the mini mega and jagger came up and told us we had to leave so that he could "train". We kindly asked that we could skate it with him, being that we had paid to skate. He got angry and told us that "if we didn't leave, he'd have his dad kick us out". We left the ramp and skated the street area for the rest of the night. We haven't been back since.
Him and his brother Jett are complete spoiled brats, and their dad is a complete asshole.
