Agreed on both. Been a big fan of Northern Co's aesthetic from Day 1. They are doing it right. As a company, they've managed to capture a particular vibe similar to what Rasa Libre had, while still being original and all their own. Graphically, they've tapped in to this Americana feel that is always on point. Was interesting to read Fletch's interview a few months back...he said they are going to go in a little bit different direction with this next run so I am really hyped to see it drop next week.
As for Killing Floor, it's been great to see how much they've grown. Can't wait for that Kenny Reed board! Will buy 2.

And I know this isn't going to be a popular opinion, but ScumCo graphics don't really do much for me. I completely back what those cats are doing, and they are 100% skateboarding, but their graphics have always just been meh for me. The naked, mutant alien chicks series seemed a little corny.
Organika has kind of lost it's way recently too. Not feeling their graphics at all, and that kills me to say. The cartoon mushrooms are embarrassing.

The Killing Floor was a real find for me. you know when you find a brand and everything they do just feels right? That's basically those guys. They tie together a lot of visual/cultural/musical motifs that resonate, and mark gutterman is the shit.
Been a Northern supporter since early. It's interesting, I thought Steve and Mike were gonna take it in a slightly different direction than they did graphically; and it's been rad to watch them develop the way they have. Last couple series werent my bag, but the new survival series looks fucking dope. I like the riders they sponsor and flow. Family vibes.
Evisen. Everything they make is dope. Everything. I continue to harass kelly at permanent for their soft goods every season. Very few series' I haven't liked of theirs.
Passport. Really creative, always cohesive, their motion graphics and titles are always on point too.
Snack. Great team, a few excellent artists doing graphics, and a sense of humor which is always appreciated. Got their LSD world peace deck up next after this killing floor.
That's my top 5 as of late.

the woodsy Northern motif is awesome.,..especially the portrait style decks.
Evisen is great, but I wish Lesque would get picked up by Permanent as well.
Snack does a good job, the western themed recent graphic is awesome. love the sky high bucks graphic too.
Western Edition does great graphics
I'm a big fan of the Pontus drawn Polar decks, instantly recognizable like Ed toy graphics.
Killing Floor, Politic, Isle, Passport are all brands I dig, but the graphics never really grab me enough to purchase.
I'm also still drawn to Hecox Chocolate decks. nostalgia mixed with rad graphics

Real has been turning their graphics around. They had some of the worst for quite awhile, but now they alternate between okay and pretty good. They aren't breaking new ground or anything, but they're improving.

It seems like the same sorta thing that happened to Toy Machine. The graphics seem so manufactured now. Like they were done in illustrator by someone copying Gonz's and Templeton's styles.
Toy Machine started going with characters exclusively, which was what killed World, Blind, etc in terms of respectability. I know they made a fuckload of money but at a big cost. They have a rad team and legacy but their graphics are so phoned in now, and that's a big part of what made Toy Machine special.

Paisley is rad. I have like 3 prints from them. It's like getting art work from Cliver for a decent price, unlike his Supreme stuff.

DLX is sort of homogenizing their graphics it seems like. Real is getting better while krooked and anti-hero become less notable. DLX guys I'll still ride your stuff anyway.

How does someone "try way too hard" with their graphics?
Wrong choice of words, but I'm just not into it when brands try to be overly offensive /edgy on their board graphics. Dead animals, and known serial killers/rapists is a little much for me, but that's me, clearly there is a market and demand for it

Yeah, I can read. You said the reason you're not into it is because it's "overly offensive/edgy". If you get offended by a skateboard graphic, you're overly sensitive. If I'm not into a board graphic, it's because I just don't like the art on it, not whether or not it's "offensive".
And lets face it...those Anti Hero graphics are awesome and hilarious. If you can't see the humor in it, you're way too uptight.

That's one of the very first Creatire graphics. I'm glad they brought that back, the Dracula too. All the green aside, they consistently do some really great guest artist series.

I don't get the almost hate on here. The company is owned by Daewon Song and Rodney Mullen, they're videos have never disapointed and they have a good small team. They're pretty much the only brand on dwindle I would buy. (maybe clich? ?)

I just don't like Dwindle wood. I've had a Brophy board and the Daewon/Batman within the 2-4 years. The shapes and concaves are great, but they lose their pop quickly. Their graphics are marketed towards younger people and the decent ones tend to be collaborations.
