I ended up getting a pair at Dick's for $18 a couple years ago. Forgot the brand, they only have one there. No complaints.

I've had around 11 broken wrists over appromately 25 years (9 from skating and 2 from falling on my drunken arse in the Helsinki winter). For a while I wore a Protec guard following each break, but I'm pretty stupid and stopped using them once I felt "healed". I regret it now as I have limited movement in my left wrist and hurt like an arthritic old man.

Here's the link to the wrist guards. Only worth buying them if you'll actually wear them. https://protecbrand.com/products/street-wrist-black (https://protecbrand.com/products/street-wrist-black).

^ I've got the same pair of wrist guards. I wear them about half the time. Good shit. If you want something really solid though, I'd get those Ace splints, they're way more rigid.

I was using triple 8 brand ones I ordered on amazon cause they were the cheapest. They work fine and are super well ventilated. They are like a very thin mesh but even taking a bunch of slams they never ripped. They are a little on the longer side tho. I recently got 187 wrist guards because they looked shorter and a little more sturdy. They are definitely both of those things but not as well ventilated as the triple 8s. I p ups honestly recommend either one, and I'm sure the protec ones are good to. Just make sure you don't order the 187 Derby ones, I read some shitty reviews about those.

Yeah I was gonna post that I use these:

They seem really sturdy and feel comfortable.  Also if you don't have health insurance/have shitty health insurance and have to type/do stuff with your hands at your job wrist guards just make too much sense.  John McGuire is down for them and he's one of my favorite skaters(and makes some rad art with his right hand too):

Worth it. They'll outlast many pairs of protect and provide way more cushion
