Got a bike since I moved to the city and it's the best way to commute to Work/Classes and to go from spot to spot. I used to squeeze my board into the frame of the bike in-between my trucks and wheels, but its awkward as fuck.

Do you have a cargo rack on your bike? I recently picked up one of these and it works pretty well if you’re willing to spend a little. I ride an 8.25” and it fits fine. I think it fits up to 8.75”.

probably not the best way but this is how i do it

Maybe a backpack? If you don't have a skate one you can just put it sideways through the straps if the bag is secure enough.
-
a shoelace, 2 loops for your trucks, and carry it on the back. doesnt take up space and is handy.
-
some friends tie a long shoestring
on each truck, and then put it on
their back like some kind of back
pack/messenger back thingy. but
that doesn't look too comfortably.
EDIT: what hercules is saying. did
not see your post, since the tab is
opened already for quite sum time

Also this works pretty well too. (https://i.amz.mshcdn.com/URoBdfh6G_-o8lNaH620WvL2YaM=/1200x627/https%3A%2F%2Fblueprint-api-production.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fuploads%2Fstory%2Fthumbnail%2F21738%2F592857175_640.jpg)

I got a basket to hang on my rear rack, so I just stick my board in there and bungee cord it so it doesn't move around. It's a cheap solution but it works.

you need a backpack for water and stuff anyway, so use that
-
Stand on your board with one foot, sit on the seat, and pedal with the other foot it's obvious
-
ive seen a bunch of people use similar products to the fairdale one, and it looks sweet. front cargo rack is also a good option. normal rat-trap works fine. i don't have anything on my bike so im stuck with the shoelace trick or a backpack.

I have 2 bikes, the heavier one has this rack with a spring clamp (https://www.amazon.com/Ventura-Standard-Bicycle-Carrier-Rack/dp/B001NGF6AY) which means I can sling the truck through the clamp and have it dangle off the back Copenhagen style. I put some bungees/elastic ropes around the wheels to lock it in place. The lighter, much faster bike has no rack, so I have to chuck my board onto a backpack with board straps.
Whatever you do, don't put your board horizontally on your bag or bike, you're more liable to clip a car mirror, pedestrian or lamppost and so end up eating shit yourself.
-
The shoelace solution is seen around.
This here is the most seen solution around Copenhagen.

I've got a bike with a bagage carrier, where I can fit a wheel into the flap, with the buttom truck resting on the bike frame. Mount the board on the counter side of the chain. This is not my bike, but just to illustrate how it stands horizontal.

And if your in close trafic, I can not at all advice you to carry your board across the bagage carrier. It's too easie to hit people, poles, sign and what not. I'f you've got a front load carrier, then it's easier to keep an eye on your board, if you mount it across..

I saw this the other day, a company called Truck Stop makes a bike attachment for your seat that lets you wedge your skateboard behind your bike. Seems pretty simple

I put mine across the handle bars, just set it up so's you can still grab the rear brake.

In because of science.
Horrible suggestion but it sounds fun to try!

Never mind skateboards. You wanna get back at homicidal car drivers? - I drive in the city with a rusty as fuk umbrella. Hold it with your left hand so's that it sticks out to the left at least a foot and half past your handle bars. I've caused many hundreds of dollars worth of damage to fuckers cars and this way. It won't stop the busses tho. Another fun one; if your walking toward a crosswalk with your bike and you can tell the car driver can see you but has no intention of stopping, just stick your bike out quick in front of his ass, this one pays off pretty good -people be stopping pretty fucking quick to save their paint and it's a good laugh.

The video in that link is pretty funny.
