Lakai is finally getting their shit together and putting out the DVD, only a matter of time! Hoping to get a copy when I get the chance.

Seriously. It's basically a second wind for The Flare promotion just in time for Christmas. But also a sneaky way of hiding that they might have fucked up? Who knows. Either way I'm stoked and will be getting a copy.

Glad to hear this. I enjoyed this video well enough but intentionally didn't watch it much in hopes of buying a physical copy. Kinda forgot about it tbh, but I'll probably buy a copy.

Mighy have to cop just for novelty. Only watched it off itunes once,have a youtube rip that I was gonna put on dvd too, guess i don't have to now. How pleasant if them to get it out there finally after I and others forgot about it.

Yeah I studied it at uni for a year then dropped out, so I'm not to sure what you're on about!
Anyway just heard a rumour of what I said before, just like New Order did with the Blue Monday single, the sleeve cost so much to produce that they lost 5p for every copy of the single sold.
I heard the same thing happened with the music rights and DVD sale
Who knows though, I have no idea about marketing

whoa sweet. gonna buy a copy for sure. still haven't seen the video in hopes of a hard copy.
it's crazy like, i was just talking to my friend about it who said maybe lakai is sinking ship and no hard copies is a sign of that.
this is good news. hope nothing gets changed/deleted.

Bought a copy and am watching it now, after having not watched it since it came out. Crazy how wildly different the vibe of this video is versus Fully Flared. I still think it's sick though, and I'm glad I actually got to buy a copy.

My copy should be waiting in my mailbox when I get off work today. Looking forward to finally seeing it.
Bummer that they fucked up with the music rights and all the hype for it died. I skate Lakais and Girl/Chocolate exclusively, and I was even starting to forget about this. Hope it's worth the wait though.

Lets be reasonable, what took so long then? paying for song rights? they would just pay the money and drop the vid unless it was too expensive. something caused a re-edit that took longer fix.
did any one buy The Flare on itunes back in july? is the itunes version different from the DVD version?
allow me to toss about a name then. Jon Sciano. hes in the flare group photos around june-july. in august hes wearing vans on insta. is he in the video still? im still waiting on my copy.
Lakai shoes have been despised since they've had cardboard footbeds. their videos and shirts n hats and shit are cool tho

That montage with Yonnie Cruz, Johnny Jones, James Capps and Nico Hiraga was completely changed. I personally liked the version I downloaded online more than the DVD version.

damn, kinda like the yeah right dvd haha. i was told the reason the dvds got delayed was because of copyright. guess it really didn't work out that well? guess im gonna have to download a copy too.

That Nico shit was horrendous, but Raven has had colorways. I remember they had the dvd's boxed up, posted on insta back in July. What a waste.
