Yeah it’s a very specific shape. Probably repairs they couldn’t do during school year. I’m not sure LAUSD has the money for cosmetic changes

Chill. That patch is completely clean and orthogonal, which screams repair job, not demolition. It even follows the grout line of the bricks. My guess would be something with a sprinkler or electrical line.

I think so too, in Yeah Right the Girl team skates over a gap like that directly on the other side of the fence before hitting the old 4 stair flat rail. Whatever happens though there's some more stuff to skate around that place.

From a construction stand point they would never make such precise cuts like that if they plan to rip it all out. I think we are good, just gotta wait a little till they are done

Even if the section pictured was unskatable there are alot of banks there. Possibly the best spot in LA.

Are you possibly talking about west dundee skatepark (in west dundee illinois)? They have a gnarly one thats cement.

secretly waiting in queens for construction workers to put a legit cellar door somewhere close to the bank.
Hope is just maintenance and not the end of such an iconic spot.

The Mariano side? Looks safe. Im going to try and separate the architectural drawings and post em if I can figure it out. I have the entire set of plans on my work google drive, but theres only a few pages for the work out front. The main scope of work is for the Corwin Theater to the southwest. Hold on homies..

Yea it looks like only the main big one is going to be skateable, you can probably still skate the main one down the stairs and dodge the rail but ehhhh. the wall side one looks chill but that one sorta sucks anyways.
They are steep, the small one that is getting taken out by the handicap ramp is really fun, the other ones are fun to carve but not too easy to get a truck up onto.

do you really think it's that gnarly? sure some crazy stuff has gone down but that doesn't make it hard to skate.
i live maybe a half mile away and skate there fairly regularly. i'm a shitty skater and have no trouble finding loads of stuff to do there.
it's really slippery, but i wouldn't call it gnarly or even hard to skate.
anyway, hope those things get popped, but i barely hit the lip most times on the big bank so it's not going to effect my enjoyment that much. security has never said anything to me either, even skating on weekday afternoons.
