The coal mining towns of southern appalachia are pretty tough. A lot of times it was easier to just buy some oxycontin and chill with my juggalo gf. But hey, me and the dudes did that shit against all odds. It's one of the few places in america where you still get called a "skater frake" "skater faageet".

Me and my friends held one down for ten years, despite the numerous death cracks and rough spots. Once you know where they are it's all good.

Block island is absolute shit for skating. Weathered roads, no spots, the cops will take your board after two warnings for skating near/in town... they built a skate park in memory of this skater who died, and if he could see it now I'm sure hed be insulted by the completely garbage quality, size, and layout of that turd. If you ever go to the island don't bother bringing your board

Vancouver was a bit better the last few years as spots had been popping up without being capped, but I was just showing someone around for a few days and almost all those new spots have been skate stopped now. It was incredibly depressing. So much driving, pretty much no skating. Gonna be a bunk summer of skatepark sessions.

As far as bigger cities go, Rome was pretty tough to skate. Lots of cobblestone roads and sidewalks that are hundreds of years old and impossible to skate. There were definitely a few gems though and a dope skateshop.

thunder bay, ontario is probably the worst ive personally visited. Indiana as a state seemed pretty bad, but i didnt go to indianapolis

West thunder was kinda cool I like 1998 or so. But yeah, that is nothing to brag about
