Caswell of helmets
« on: June 15, 2018, 06:00:29 PM »
"When fellow professional skateboarder Mike V came out in 2016 and declared that he could no longer justify skateboarding without a helmet, I applauded and respected his decision but I wasn't quite ready to make the same choice myself. That's changed. There are too many unnecessary injuries and even deaths in skateboarding due to helmets being deemed uncool. I will be wearing a helmet when I ride my skateboard from this point on. I choose a standard bicycle helmet because it is comfortable, breathable and unobtrusive. It's time for the real men to speak up, the helmet revolution is now."

Bike helmets are ill suited for back of the head falls and are likely to add to neck trauma.
