Rails in Barcelona?
« on: February 11, 2008, 03:12:09 AM »
Hola amigos. Leaving for Barcelona in a couple of days, third time, and we thought we should check out some rails. We know where the white one is (Matt B. ss 5-0) and that 6 stair one (Kyle Leeper fs feeble shovit), but does anyone know any other rails? I'm guesinng the one they skate in Flip-Sorry is gone, and where is that rail Mariano fakie bigspins board?

Man, rails are everywhere, why would you wanna go to barca and skate rails? Just go to UC Davis, they've got like 6 different sized rails of decency.

I mean, imo, they've got so much sick, unique architecture it seems like it'd be a waste to just skate another rail down stairs, the only thing that's different is maybe the color of the ground.
I rarely venture into classic slap and the one time I do it I find a guy getting his dick eaten by a dolphin.

Well, I live in Norway and the rails here are all sky high. But trust me, we know that Barca ain't about rails, just thought we'd try and skate all types of different shit we don't get to back home

Man, just go ahead and do it. A great time, and fairly cheap. Just save up some cash and you'll have a great time!

Yeah, skating Stalin Plaza the first time was amazing. Prague is sick.

The only rail I know is the San Marti one. (MJ Caveman Darkslide in FF)

Hopefully were going to Barcelona this summer too.. But I'm still searching for spots too. So if you could tell me the ones you know plus directions it would be great? Thanks.

Well, although I can't remember directions to all of em, here are some of the ones I've been to

Macba, Fondo, Para-lel, Universitat, Clot (a 3 stair and then a 9 where you can do lines. Salabanzi, Romero, Janoski etc), Bumps over fence, Ledge that Arto flip bs tail and Bam ss bs tail, St merci rail, that spot where Boulala ss flips and ss heels that yellow fence thing of a ledge, That long ass gap MJ nollie bs heels and janoski ss bs flips, that rail where you can do tricks over it into a bank (Rodrigo TX). These are some of the spots I could think of off the top of my head

I leave on the 20th for 2 and a half months, I can't fucking wait.  Where are you staying/how long are you staying?

I leave the 16th and am staying until the 25th. Damn son! 2 and a half months, shiiiit. I'll live by Bogatell on the yellow metro line

youre gonna have a rad time.  definitely need more than a month here to really take it in.
i've been here for over 3 months now, staying till whenever.
you can get by pretty cheaply, and you can always find work passing out fliers if you need to.
maybe I'll see you out, or give me a holler if you want to shred something.
things have been hairy with the cops near the center, but you can pretty much never run out of new things to skate if you have the time to wander around.

Are there any spots where you are more likely to get busted by cops than others? Is it true that they'll confiscate your board? I'm going in the end of february, haven't been there for a couple of years.

I love to skate handrails, but when flawless, bust free granite ledges are around, don't go out of your way to find that shit.
