Someone with the skills should gather all of her footy for an edit.
That would be epic.

Complete waste of money on nikes part. Nobody even buys the womens shoes. Its not like THAT many chicks skate. Shes like 42 and hasnt had a full part since the 90s. They sign her but not jamie foy, and or yoshi tanenbaum. Supremely wack and illogical.

Jamie left nike flow, where he was in pretty good for a spot on Diamond. That's kinda his bad.

As for Yoshi, well..... to each his own.

but overall, I'd say you seem to be in the minority here and I have a feeling you don't really get marketing, or that skateboarding is much bigger that what you "like".

plus Elissa is fucking sick, an undisputed legend, and an important part of skating's history.

Fuckin clown. He left nike flow cause he is one of the best on earth and deserved to get paid. A Jamie foy colorway on nike would sell wayyyy better than a steamer one. He left nike flow then won fuckin soty. Sure im the minority because I'm logical and you all adhere to groupthink.

Elissa brings some substance and originality to the sb team I’ll give them that. At least they recognize a legend. Elissa rules and did so much to pave the way for women in skateboarding.

slow down there, some of you guys are literally tripping over yourselves to congratulate women in skateboarding

I mean imagine doing something you love that’s dominated by women. Both your cohorts and higher ups are women. Now imagine doing that for over 20 years. I think Elissa gets a pass from what you’re saying. She was doing it before the trend we have now.

He left cause he was impatient and took a big check instead of stability. Sounds dumb to me, sorta like someone else.

As for group think, sounds like you only see raw skill and do not in fact understand marketing. See, that's one of the best things about skating. Just cause you're good don't mean shit, plus "good" is tangible.

I personally think Jamie Foy is pretty fucking sick, but if you don't give a shit about rails, and maybe skate transition, then you might argue that Curren Caples deserves Jamie's shoe check and big payday.

Not sure why I'm bothering to explain this too you, I don't think you care to listen or know.

Elissa is a true blue pioneer and skate rat for life. She deserves recognition, even if its coming from Nike, good for her.

This is all cute and everything but what about Leticia. I have no problem supporting Elissa. But this is like supporting Bobby Puleo before we even recognize or give a show to Prod. And if you think Leticia doesn't deserve it or to Eve be mentioned in the same sentence as Prod. I beg to differ. If there is only two other skaters better than Tish it's Alexis Sablone and Lynz in fact I think they all deserve shoes

This thread has absolutely nothing to do with Leticia except that both she and Elissa have vaginas.

Also illogical because anyone that knows skating knows that a rail skater is FAR more marketable than a tranny skater.... Also curren doesn't skate nearly as hard or produce as much footy. Plus jamie skates ledges, films lines, jumps, and can skate tranny. You're a pretentious cunt.

I don’t think Foy would be anywhere near the point in his career he is if he stayed on Nike. Based on how hard they were pushing the nyc dudes that year I think his best bet was leave for a full shoe sponsor where he’d shine instead of staying on the largest flow program out. Deathwish and Nike seems like an odd combo too.i definitely think he made the right choice . He’s the only dude I can think of to ever go from flow to soty pro in a year. That’s insane.

Elissa’s new board on Baker is nostalgia at its best. It’s her character select from THPS. I wish everyone who was in that game got a board like that. Definite wall hangers in my eyes considering at my age that game opened me up to new skaters that weren’t affiliated with Birdhouse because the only video I owned was The End(which only came out a year earlier).

Nike sb is about the clout it lends to the company as a whole.  Theyd sell more Foys but a Steamer on the team  announcement has more relevence in the clout catagory than red bull hatted Foy.  Nike has a huge market and the sb gives them clout that benifits the whole company.  There not trying to blow up the sb and use it strictly for sales cause theyre smart enough not to taint it.

Elissa Steamer deserves checks forever. Legendary parts on Toy Machine in its prime AND a Warner Ave/Baker O.G.
