Exotic & beautiful skate spots in southern Switzerland
« on: October 15, 2018, 04:09:39 PM »
Hey guys,

here's my most recent video I shot and edited. We went on a trip for three days and this is the result. From befriending goats to how to safely cross a river, no stone was left unturned to find some truly exotic spots. Hope you guys enjoy.

Let me know what you think!

Very cool. I'd probably have done 50% more landscape shots and 50% less bro vibes, but that's just my taste.

The countryside is skateboarding's undiscovered continent.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. There is a really strong TY Evans influence here with the high fives, the hugs, the drones and the emotional music. I really liked the skating in the villages and on the rocks. You seem to have some high tech equipment too. Do you aspire to shoot ads and music videos?

I like hiking and whenever I walk through small villages I automaticly look for spots. Sometimes you discover some really cool shit in the smallest towns and usually no one has skated it yet. And of course I never have my board with me on a hike. You rarely see tricks from villages in skatevideos (In some of the antiz videos they skate some rural spots). I guess people don't have the time to search out new spots and prefer the night life of bigger cities to the camping or the sleeping in guest houses on the country side. Maybe I will start an appreciation thread of skating on the country side.

That last frontside flip was pretty gnarly!

Yeah I can see that. I'd definitely use more landscape shots the next time. But somehow that was just the vibe on the trip. Lots of hugging and bromance... so why not put it in the video  ;)

Personally I'm not too keen on the videos of Ty Evans (actually I haven't seen one of the new ones except the trailers). But oh well... I'm pretty low key with my equipment. I just use my GH5 and push it pretty hard. Not a fan of big bulky camera equipment especially when you're on a trip like this!

Good stuff man, nice to see Ticino on Slap!

I'll second what some people said about 50% less bromance as constructive criticism. Anyway, two thumbs up!

Look at you with the Switzerland knowledge! How come?

Yeah man that spot was nuts. Super super sketchy to get into that thing.. it doesn't really convey (is that how you say it?) in the video but it was very high up and he just used an old log that was laying around to get up there.

Homie goat was sick. Well shot, good use of HD only things i would point out would be that wide angle lens and ramp slowmos. And hugs.
