New shoes - Recommendations?
« on: November 27, 2018, 10:02:37 AM »
Hey Y'all

Already, after 3 weeks of skateboarding 3-4 times per week, ive gotten a hole in to my sock in my Nike SB team classics. So I need some new. Dont want the same shoe again, for obvious reasons. They also suck for heelflips and they are just too slim/flimsy or something, I guess I like a stiffer sole.
Any recommendations? Boardfeel and grip is the most importent. Also prefer a shoe that leans more towards a narrow fit.

I've just started skateboarding again after 12 years, so i'm kinda clueless.

Thank You!

The Harlem is nice im skating now. But it will be difficult to find baordfeel and really stiff sole.
https://statefootwear.com

But for heelflips only I'd go with these they add plus 100 flair to heelflips.

I should probably have mentioned that I will only buy:
Nike SB, Adidas, Vans, or New Balance. Because they are most often on sale and easy available.
Which Supra is not. Neither is State.

The SB team classics are a very minimalistic cupsole, also the sole is very thin in height.
A Janoski, or even the Blazer chukkas I have, have a stiffer sole then them.
I wont skate the blazer chukkas I have tho, they are for chillin

You could probably find plenty of States on sale, along with Huf, my personal favorite. The Cromer's have a narrow fit for sure.

I live in Norway, so State is rather rare to find.

 There's a sale.

I have found most adidas shoes really narrow. Maybe you would like the busenitz.

Also please don't buy those supraspinatus. They will not help with heelflips way too colorful. Only Osiris work for that.

So what's the point of asking this question? You don't shop online? How do you ever find shoes? Seems your only option is to go to a shop there and see what's available/comfortable and meets your requirements then no? What's the point of suggestions. Or maybe you can ask the shop to order them from another country for you but you won't get to try them on.

I shop online, theres only 1 local skate shop and they dont have anything good.
However, I dont shop online from other countries other then the scandinavians, duo to shipping, potential tax and eaze of return.

Junkyard’s got those HUF Clives on sale - 60% off grey ones and 40% off black: https://www.junkyard.no/skor-clive-5d

Session’s got the Busenitz that the teddy bear mentioned on sale. Many styles are 30% off, but this one’s even half price: https://session.no/sko/sko/busentiz-vulc-rx-white-burgundy-bluebird

Kind of nervous to suggest anything for fear that it's hard to get in Norway.

These are the best shoes you can get

Find a pair on sale.
They have great board-feel and a narrow fit
Good durability too, but here's a protip:

If you can find some "shoe goo" it will make any shoe last 3x longer. Apply a thin layer before any wear and tear even starts to happen and they will look good for a long time.

Etnies and Emerica are pretty reliable. And some Converse can last forever
