I feel like this is a sad attempt at humble brag. This is a Google search question with multiple Glassdoor links. Clogging up the joint with this garbage

Are you gonna change your slap username to VansTM?

Not a brag, was just asking the skateboarding community of slap a question. Not a fan of corporate jobs, never work well. I also never heard of Glassdoor until this thread. Not a tech/Internet forum savvy person

I suppose thats fair. Haha I'm apparently more of an asshole than usual today, but I have my reasons. I had fun with the new username part though. Regardless, I got you:

Maybe el nugjar only uses google for leafly and slap. Hahah just messin.

It's hard to imagine people being computer illiterate but maybe its ture and it might not be dudes fault. I was hating on this because I assumed it was for something that wasn't retail. Also, I'm just an asshole sometimes.

Regardless, he's got the glassdoor link now! Haha

My old coworker used to work at the vans store at Lenox mall, basically the richest most uppity mall in all of Georgia. He told me some fucked up shit. If shoes got returned they were forced to be thrown in the trash, but because they didn't want homeless people dumpster diving shoes or anyone to catch on they made him mutilate them with a box cutter to the point of unwearability. Ever heard of donating to the less fortunate?

Yeah do you mean you got a job on the sales floor at the local mall or an actual job with the company?

It’s store policy not to never stop someone from stealing. even if you see them filling up a duffel bag with shoes. Can’t say shit. Do what you’d like with that

I can confirm this. I had to mutilate a couple of shoes. Not every time though, its been a while so I forget what qualifies a shoe to be destroyed. But cutting up some authentics hurt me on the inside.

I worked at that store for extra holiday money a few years ago!.

I once had some British dude just hand me his phone and FaceTime his daughter. While he sat and did something on another phone. She wanted some glittery vans some singer wore. Then he told me to add whatever for his sons.

This Asian person showed me pictures of models online and I just had to match the stuff in the outfits.

Countless parents ask for whatever the cool vans were. At the time black authentics, now it’s probaly old skools.

Dude buying authentics in every size to sale to rich people in his home country later.

A personal shopper mad special releases are sold out.

I did sell one dude a pair of halfcabs once. He was literally just getting vans because they were trendy but he didn’t like the basic styles we sold the most of(era, old skill, sk8 hi, authentic, chukka) He was real stoked on them. Felt good to see someone leave happy.
