Vans Chima 2
« on: November 25, 2019, 08:56:22 PM »
How do the Chima 2s fit?

I'm a size 11.5 in Jordan 1s (tight but perfect fit), 12 in Adidas UltraBoost 3.0s, but I vary between 11.5 and 12 in STI, Lakai and Vans skate shoes.

Sorry for making a whole new thread, it's urgent.

they're a pretty good fit, although kind of tight on the top of one's foot. The cushion is good, and sizing should run about regular, or maaaybe a half size u[ if you like a looser fit. They're good shoes.

Okay sick maybe I'll be safe with a 12 then... Do they pack out quite a bit?  I think I'll enjoy the tighter toe box as I'm a skier and we ride super tight boots.  The flick sounds amazing.  I just hate toe boxes that are too narrow on the sides and everyone has said that it's tight on the top/bottom not the sides.

I'd say they fit pretty true to size. I would be wary of sizing up in them, since they are usually suede and that stretches out. Also, the drop-in insole is that UltraCush 3D insole, which is made out of EVA instead of the normal UltraCush HD which is polyurethane... the EVA is heat moldable, so it will crush out and give more volume over time as well. Basically, if you get it in the correct size, it will mold to your feet after awhile.

Ah I didn’t know about the insole. I’ll go with 11.5s for sure then.  Thanks this was clutch. Damn I have a feeling I’ll like these shoes a lot.

They’re Vans though so your outsoles are gonna go bald in 2 weeks.

Vans soles aren't even halfway done when they're bald though. They go bald kinda fast but last a surprisingly long time after that. Overall though, they're not exactly the most long lasting shoes. But the sole just feels so good IMO.

Just got them in the mail. I’m glad I went 11.5 they fit perfect with no room to spare.

So if anyone else is considering a pair they run TTS.  The toe box and size is almost exactly the same as Jordan 1s.

These shoes are dope but my Reynolds Vulc Lows are holding up super well so I doubt I’ll be skating them anytime soon.  Very comfortable and they look great.  My main concern now is the toe cap and fresh Mob being too sticky. Maybe I’ll have to switch to M-80 with these.
