I like Bill’s style but he overuses it big time these days. I feel like he did it best in Cherry, nice mix of angles. The influence he’s had on skate vids cannot be denied. I’d still rather watch Candyland than anything New Balance is putting out.

I always like filming that doesn’t call attention to itself and lets you just focus on the skating.

A lot of filming today screams for attention with all the exaggerated zooms and pre-trick glamour shots.

It’s like when the ref in a boxing match finds excuses to interject themselves into the action every 5 seconds.  No one paid to see sick refereeing; they want to watch the fight, so butt the fuck out.  You feel me?
When nothing in society deserves respect, we should fashion for ourselves in solitude new silent loyalties.

Back in the day from I hated sometimes
I use to go to a skateshop I talked about a few cheaters back the coke head skate shop with the jacuzzi shop was trying to make a shop video
Back 2006 and tryed again 2007 and tryed again in 2008 and then lost all his riders in 2009

But that shop video was film so shitty and far away no zoom and had the shitty slow mo where the sound bangs around dang Danny angg slang bang and sound like like shitty shitty pots and pans banging around in slow mo and un crisp and horrible trying to bang a dent out of your car sounds giving it was with some. Horrible movie maker Magic maker kindergartner shit editor program from the 1990es

Some of the clips where filmed so far away on the level of it was like there grandmother was filming it or something that bad and nothing used a camera before ever the filming was that bad I remember see it and the coke head owner would slow mo those clips and it was the worst things to ever look at sins against humanity god and everything and anything betting a senseless animal the video was horrible editing and editing and the slow mo was a just sin after sin after sin fucking wack

The coked out skate shop didn't last that long
And everybody that skated for that shop just picked up drug habit and quit or disappeared on dumb shit MMA Training shooting steroids dumb fuck mode
Lost for good

But wish I never saw some of those clips that where filmed so horribly miserablely bad and edited in the shittest slow mo to the worst hip hop  instrumentals
Know to man crackhead hip hop instrumental mode bets

So zooming into tricks today isn't that bad aleast people are trying to film tricks right but don't zoom ass whole deep on someone that has really high Pop or flips there board like a god

Just don't super zoom in and  miss style on people that have good style and good pop

Point blank frame the shoot and get it right on style and high pop

This was a wild read, thank you for that
This has got to be a speech to text and google translate combo or something. Wow.

i like greg hunt's filming style, everything is full frame and beautiful to look at without all the weirdness of a ty evans production.

personally bill gets a pass because he uses a nice camera that makes all of the details in a close up shot really pop. most of the time i really enjoy how his filming looks because obviously he does it so well and you can see things that you wouldn't normally catch if you were watching the skateboarder in real time.

people rag on filmers copying his style simply because its trendy now to dislike people who get inspiration from other trendy people. too much slo mo is always awful

Point being is that Fat Bill is trying waaayyy too hard or to be "artistic" or "edgy'. He comes off as a kook or worse a pedophile (accurate). But oh yeah, supreme is sick!
