A Movie Topic: Perfume

so I saw this movie on the weekend, and was pretty impressed.. I haven't seen a good sicko/period piece in a while and they always interest me.. anyone else seen it? thoughts? The character of jean baptiste is just so creepy.

i remember the preview and it looked pretty cool. it wasn't in theatres for very long. i went to see pan's labyrinth instead of  perfume one day and next thing i know it's gone.

i liked the film, but yeah a friend told me the book is better and i should read that first, but i'm too lazy to read lately.
