worth noting that this video is 5 years old but i wouldnt be surprised if nothing changed since then. theeves pricing has lost the little validation i thought they had

It's weird to me that I saw this vid and the other one a few nights ago. It's like you're stalking my internet history.

The Theeve "blend" is (was?) a lil bit of Ti that basically amounts to a trace amount of impurities in the alloy.
These are probably chips and shavings of the factory floor, from whittling down those TiH hangers.
And Ti has a higher melting than Al so all those Ti bits won't mix with the Al alloy, they'll just be suspended in it, hopefully uniformly distributed. Not a clump right in the pivot nub that would weaken it. Or a spot in the hanger making it easier to crack there.
