That coupled with the fact that a ton of pros don't even make shit anymore. Other than shoe deals, income can be sparse. Gone are the days of $2,000+ checks for board sales for most pros. I bet coming into a relationship and expecting a certain amount or whatever, plus what you said. As much as we all love pro skaters, when it comes down to it, they're all fucking around having fun and whatnot. I could see that weighing down a certain type of spouse. Relationships are tough.

All that being said, this thread is dumb as fuck. Half of America is divorced. My mother is on her third marriage and my father before he died was on his third as well. Some people, especially older people, really seem to put a lot of stock into marriage.

pretty sure the Gonz was divorced. I remember him telling a story about how he lost in an airport in Italy (i think) and was asked for some extra security checking. So he popped up on the conveyor for luggage and went through the xray scanner. Got arrested, got committed and he claimed it was due to a bunch of life events including going through a divorce. This is the story i remember, I could be way off, but i am hoping im not because its a pretty hilarious story.

Spanky, I believe, was married briefly to Cat Powers.

He got married relatively young and then got divorced. Nothing crazy. Contrary to what someone posted here earlier, it was not Cat Power. It was a model/actress that was like a foot taller than him. He talks about dating tall girls on his Crail Couch.
