Jeron Wilsons knees
« on: April 01, 2020, 06:39:25 AM »
He seems like a genuinely nice guy but since i was a kid, i had to skip every of his videoparts. Something was super unwatchable to me.

I lights of the Marc Johnason interview i revisited a few videos. And now i found out what was so unpleasing.

Wilson does not only not bend his knees on impact. He refuses to land smoothly with such an authority, the only explanation for it must be that he really really hates his joints.

Someone else noticed this?
Why does he get a pass?

I like Jeron Wilson and I like his video parts.

I did make this video joking about how he basically falls off his board on a trick in goldfish and pretends it's a push. (Actually he falls off his board on a switch tre flip and pretends it's a push too in the clip immediately before this)

I still love his goldfish part and most of his parts (Including skatemore). I just made this one day because I thought it was funny, but it's probably only funny to me.

Kareem and Bam are also notorious no-knee benders

Was it Jeron who toe dragged while approaching a ledge bc he was going too fast?

you've got me racking my brain trying to figure out who i've seen do that. also brings to mind the fake-out push (i.e. steps off to push, but thinks better of it and puts foot back on board)

Pretty sure the toe drag is in a ledge line in his Skate More part.

Jeron is sick. I mean, he's not Carroll, Howard, Koston or Guy, but he always produced generally having the opening part in some iconic videos (Finally, Goldfish, Mouse) or even the opening tricks in some great montages (Vitual Reality friends section, Girl Section in Paco).

Where’s the Pal with the Lindsey Robertson heelflip gif as his sig? That and the bs one down Wallenberg are two great examples of no knee movement on landing that look incroyable, and both are down big shit too.
I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.

hey they joked about that on the nine club experience and showed the clip..
Jeron's response was pretty amusing I don't think he would take it as serious as the detractors around these parts
