Doesn't it strike you as a positive PR move to denounce Yonnie and his actions though? I feel like a lot of companies try to "get ahead" of stuff like this, publicly state the person no longer works for them and they do not stand by the actions they took. Hell, I've seen articles where universities did it to high school kids they've accepted to their school that posted racist shit on the internet. I'm not sure how many people on here bought craig stuff before the allegations and will continue to after, but do you think people will stop buying their stuff for standing against rape, sexual assault and knowingly spreading STIs?

For craig specifically, I don't see the PR boost being worth opening that Pandora's box.

Really, I don't see it as a PR-raising event. If you already wrote them off, are you coming back because of a couple company memos? If you aren't already a customer, are you now purchasing because of the memo? I just don't see any positive return on the investment.

I don't think they'll lose followers for making a statement - I think they open themselves up to litigation by accepting responsibility for employee actions. Between Keenan, Cory, BlackFaced-Spike, they just have this history of fucked up things happening. Where will the blame-train end?

You brought up universities, which ARE the type of institutions I would expect to make a statement. While they are for-profit, they are serving a social function. Plus, they tend to 'lean left'.

Kinda off topic but does anyone else think crob is gay? I’ve been wondering this shit for years...I’ve never heard him talk about women once on the pod...female rippers excluded

Crob lacks testosterone. He needs more protein in his diet. I can tell by the way his beard grows.

So, obviously, Bones, GX1000, Indy (or whoever gave him trucks) and his other sponsors should all bare this same responsibility to make public statements about Yonnie, correct? Just trying to understand Slap logic on this one regarding why only Crailtap is expected to speak up.

And what about his closest friends who are also professionals who travel with him and definitely have more influence on his life/actions? Are they not required to make public statements too? They all have thousands of followers. Some of them may have literally hooked him up with his victims.

That’s different. Your board brand is the one sponsor that actually utilizes your image and helps to mold the perception of who a skater is, the rest of your sponsors are basically just hoping that name recognition rubs off a little.
At least when you're a washed-out hipster douchebag in NY, you can milk it at some decent looking, hard to skate spots. In LA you're just a tan-lined faggot in a school yard somewhere.
