Best fitting tee shirts you own?
« on: February 28, 2022, 08:50:46 PM »
Skate tees, band tees, blanks, etc. I have a fourstar shirt that fits hella good from 2013. Also, what are people's opinions on sizing up? Feels super weird IMO; like wearing a bed sheet...

Been really enjoying these levis tees that they call "vintage" tees. They are based off of the shape of an actual vintage tee they found. Some of them come in this really nice heavyweight material that I really like.

Also a huge fan of Uniqlo tees and shirts. They have these oversized mid length sleeve tees that are a super nice light breathable material but still super durable.

I'm tall and more athletic build so I need shirts that are long and big to get like an oversized look but not too oversized. I mostly wear xl or xxl.

Uniqlo U is by far my favorite Tshirt to skate and chill in. Basically all I wear nowadays.

I’ve dashed every shirt I owned for Polar shirts, good thick material, roomy kind of boxy fit.

I can either shrink a medium or run a small as is and they’re about the same.

I'm 5'8 and around 150 so take that into consideration but Supreme, Polar, Quasi Uniqlo U, and LA Apparel fit me well. Supreme tees feel and fit me the best, but don't want to over-rep the brand and regularly spend $50 on a tee

All Large. I cant do those thin tees

Carhartt workwear k87 pocket tee, or the non-pocket version, size medium. Best fit for me, and takes an absolute beating

i have a butter goods t shirt and it fits well. i like baggier shirts, i'm 6'1 i think and i weigh 85kg. it's a size xl and is just slightly oversized.

i also had a shake junt tee that had a similar fit (it was a nuge shirt with a rolling papers graphic on the back) but the collar stretched out a lot. i've been wearing it all the time for like 3 years though.

as for the cheaper alternatives i really like the fit of a gildan premium cotton tee. these ones don't shrink like most gildans and the material is pretty soft and comfortable. i always size up and they fit great, way better than in this picture

Can’t go wrong with Carhartt WIP pocket tee’s. Good price, and good quality. Fit is great and they last ages. Long sleeves available too.

I like a loose fit but being pretty tall a lot of brands aren’t long enough even one size up. I wait for sale and buy Marine Layer blanks and they’re super soft and comfortable. As for skate brands Sci Fi Fantasy and Dime seem to use higher quality shirts that have a better overall fit. The absolute worst are my band tees that are Hanes Beefy and shit. They feel stiff for like 2 years and they always fit a bit short and wide.

The oversized U or the crew? I’ve heard a lot of great things about these tees and I might just order one to see what they’re like!

I've been rocking the Dickies heavyweight pocket tee.

Like $12 a pop on Amazon (or your local Dickies stores).

They don't feel like they're gonna rip when you eat shit when skating.

They feel better as they break in as well.

Ok

Just hear to echo that Hanes beefy are comical.

Carhartt pocket t’s are the go to (regular ones never tried WIP), one size down, but needs to be like your actual size imo. For reference I am short, 5’7” 170, wear a small (instead of a medium), when I’m dressing like an old adult, wearing reasonably fitting 501s. If I’m out skating in 874s, I’m probably wearing a medium. I like these shirts because I have a proportionally longer torso, and so T’s can quickly start looking early 2000s short t, baggy pants. And I am painfully aware that some young people make this look very cool, alas, not so much on a list middle aged out of shape person.

Dickies last way longer than I thought, but I have a hard time finding what is what because I swear they have different levels of the same product. Kind of like how Levi’s sells obviously shittier 501s to old box stores. Labeled the same, but lesser quality. So usage may vary, but dickies pocket t’s have been mostly pretty decent.

Not oversized, standard short sleeve and long sleeves. Maybe if I was taller but I’m 5’5” and there’s a limit on how baggy I can go before it looks crazy haha

Kirkland blanks from Costco. $15 for a four pack (Canadian). Nice soft thicker cotton. Stay soft to the touch after you wash them and so far the black ones have not faded right away like my old go-to Gildan.

They fit pretty long fresh out of the package, but end up normal after a wash and a dry. Or just hang them to dry if you need a longer fit.

They come in white and black and honestly I don't even wear any other shirts since I started buying these 6 months or so ago.

they are indeed very long shirts. medium's coming down to my thigh even after numerous dries! but they're nice and thick. Don't rip easily either.

the thrift store I go to will get brand new gildan blanks sometimes and sell em for a buck a pop. I've got a few of those.

I really like the feel of the organic cotton shirts out these days, but they're super clingy. so I'm probably gonna stick with the Kirkland or gild an

I know people aren’t really fans but for me, hands down, Pro Clubs are the best.

The one I’m wearing in this pic has been washed (on hot once by accident) heaps and still holds its shape. For my body shape they work perfect. XXL.

Plus the necks don’t stretch. This blue one has been washed a ton and they stay the same as when new.

Kirkland really is the ultimate tee. It's been a long time since I've had some.

I've been wearing Dickies tees in tall sizes. Cheap and effective.

As mentioned before Uniqlo U shirts are pretty close to perfect. I still love an Alstyle 1301 and regular Carhartt t's are pretty great as well. I'm into heavyweight tee's. A few brands like Hardbody and Dancer are using really great bodies made in Portugal. Also, Thumpers tees are nice and dry with a good amount of weight.
