« on: September 28, 2022, 11:35:47 AM »
Does anyone know what software is used to make those early CGI type animations appearing in the Bronze videos? I really want to learn how to do this. Example: . Thanks.

probably blender (but any cg program will do) for computer graphics and a lot of afterfx filter/plugins for the lofi/vhs effect

The alley oop benihana at 3:04 is sick. I thought Birdhouse was already a thing in '93? He appears to be skating one of his later Powell boards

From what I’ve heard they use blender+cycles but some say they use some truly wild shit like pre-maya obscure shit 5 people used back in 1992.

but really blender and sketchup for free models is where its at, If you’ve got maya use that, its better in every way (no hate to blender users)

Stacy Peralta was an early advocated of the Video Toaster, as was Hawk, having learned editing from Stacy. In fact, there was a time when Tony thought his post-skate career was going to be as a video editor, and he has said that he did some commercial editing work in between Powell and birdhouse actually taking off.

Anyway I think that footage is from Ban This and Propaganda-era Powell, and my guess would be that the footage comes from Stacy.
