Nick Tucker of Primitive?
« on: September 07, 2019, 10:45:31 AM »
He isn't listed on the Primitive team website anymore. I remember a year or two ago he was on the special Nine Club episode at Dew Tour, and he mentioned he was going to be with Primitive "to the death," after he confirmed leaving Diamond. He is still shows Primitive Skate on his Instagram page though, anyone know anything about this?

I know most people on this board arent Primitive fans, but I dig them. So yes, I care. Hence why I made the thread.

i think for most people on here it’s more of not being a nick tucker fan as opposed to not being a primitive fan. maybe a bit of both.

bingo.

Primitive has hooked up a bunch of people stuck in flow purgatory like tre williams and carlos ribeiro and given a second chance at some shine to ppl like bastien, devine, and JB. Probably will never buy a board from them but I respect the program prod has put together.

I think he was cut when Primitive, following corporate HR trends, instituted their sucka free policy.

Prod gave Salabanzi a board, that speaks VOLUMES. Tiago is there too.

I recently rode a....

...wait for it....

TRENT MCCLUNG METALLIC DRAGON BALL FUCKING Z BOARD

Because it was one of the BEST 8.25" shapes I could find. Still is, in fact I have two picked-up-on-sale (both gross shiny DBZ graphics) but I give no fucks, love the shape and the price was right as rain. Like Matrix cookies.

(to make it worse, I was riding purple spit classics, fucking board was purple, the shame)

I came up on a Carlos R. 8” with that silver foil under layer
and stickered it up over all the words and logo graphics
and it was good. I would not have bought one, but it
was good pop and shape, and that foil layer was cool.  And there was a pink jaguar roaring .

The graphics suck and they don't have any shapes i like but they give Franky and Tiago money so long live primitive. Nick is meh so good on em for cutting dead weight
on the commentary for the scene where jeremy klein rollerblades at that little skatepark he said the actual blader with dreads who was there came up to him and asked him if he listens to korn

They have had some decent graphics but they never seem to stick with something that works. They have become the shitty colab brand and that will hard to shake.

Looks like a 1031 board

Mark Foster did designed it. Heroin and 1031 sorta have a similar vibe.

Primitive graphics are no shittier than any other large brand. Santa Cruz, Real, Plan B. They all manage to put out 2 or 3 decent graphics out of like the 20ish graphics they put out every season. not including logo boards, they keep in rotation.

If you're putting out that many graphics, they point isn't to have every run be fire. it's to sell to the broadest range of people. That's why collabs (licensing deals) are so popular. Who cares about what brand it is when you got fucking goku on a board.

Franky Villani just lives on his own world on primitive and it's great

Damn biggest fall off ever. Announced a line collab with Nicky diamonds with little to no Pressler so it never launched. Totally abandoned ship afterwards, blocked a bunch of haters on Instagram, and is basically grifting among the successful. He was suppose to be one of the greats, but he proved to be exactly what brought him fame…a dirty ghetto kid. Looking forward to seeing his update that after that ceremonial pitch, he got a job at Staples as a cashier
