I mean I don't think I live under a rock, I've never seen a company mention her on instagram, or a magazine or independent video part so yes the criteria for being pro isn't what it used to be, especially if you're not whats hot in marketing at the moment. people on fucking revive are pro... so don't call me a liar there.

Really though can someone point me to a video part or something besides news blurbs and a few contest runs? I'm open minded and open to becoming a fan but I am not going to watch the abc news australia shit I found on youtube.

Haha get fucked

I'm ignorant of a certain section of the skate industry. It's not my own fault it's everyone else's. Pointing out that this is flawed logic is "woke" apparently?

what does woke even supposed to mean in this context?

"Woke" doesn't mean anything at all. Just like "politically correct" before it, it's a completely empty cultural signifier morons use to explain why the world being very slightly different than the way it had been at some previous time makes them so uncomfortable.

It’s “woke” because we’re talking positively about a woman. It can’t be that we like her or her skating, oh no we’re all pretending because no one can actually like watching women skate.

Anyway if I were curious about her skating I might think about watching the new Worble video. It’s not a terribly difficult thing to guess that she’s in the new full length that the company that just turned her pro put out.

I would try the video from the company that turned her pro that just dropped the end of last week.

You know how Tony Hawk turned pro?  He signed up for the pro section of the contest instead of the am section.

It gives me female wrestler energy.

The only name I hate is Sky Brown because it’s the exact name designed to drive my brain crazy (sky and brown are not related colors).  I think her brother has a color name that has nothing to do with brown either.   And look, I’m not looking for her to be named Coco or anything, just don’t lean into the color angle like the overwhelming majority of people with color-based surnames.

for 1 my comment wasn't about poppy but more so that you don't need to be flow. am, release video parts for your companies, then eventually turn pro like the 1995-2016 formula.

For the sake of not making the mistakes of our forefathers, I did the research, at times watching content from sources I would never look to for skate media and interviews from australian news agencies, I concluded that

Poppy is a sick skater, has a tasteful style, can get big air in the bowl and I consider her skating to be pro level for sure. has almost a jake duncombe trapped in a woman's body who grew up in santa cruz vibe.

I gotta say youtube does her no justice if you search her name and sort by most recent.

isn't this what slap wants? growth? overcoming ignorance? learning to love your fellow (wo)man?

Cool you dig deeper and found clips. And even cooler to see you overcome your initial ignorance. She’s also featured in the worble 3 video and vans credits.
Skatevideosite is probably easier for searching skaters and videos than just a simple YouTube search. But to be fair - she changed from poppy Olson to poppy star Olson. Making things a little more difficult than they need to be

Worble is just a better-looking Fancy Lad
[close]

I love Fancy Lad but Worble are more like current day Tiltmode- wacky videos with skits and homie parts but still a foundation of folks who skate at a pro level

I thought this same thing the other day watching Worble World. They all looked like they were having so much fun, but also had some killer skating. TiltMode had some of my favorite videos back in the day and I think that had a lot to do with the fun vibe they all had. Just homies skating together and filming dumb shit.
