That double durometer concept is neat.

https://nhsskatedirect.com/blogs/nhs-skate-direct/two-durometers-in-one-wheel-introducing-oj-double-durometer

I wonder if they have plans to expand the ranges. I've been on soft wheels for 8 years or so, ranging from 78a to 85a.

Currently a big fan of 85a, but really wish it was possible to blend in a hardness that allowed for tail / nose / lip slides on ledges while still preserving the soft wheel feel (mainly not sliding out when carving down hills with speed). 95a outer and 85a inner could be a worthy experiment.

Ricta tried this concept in 03 or 04, they retailed for $40 which was $10 more than most wheels back then.

I see now. I've been told Spitfire did something similar in the past as well.

I was visualizing inner and outer as something completely different, shown in the attached image below. This might be physically impossible, or if it is possible, fail to be a durable wheel.

Note: starting to attempt to attach images on SLAP's server, even though the limit is 128kb. Imgur is going to start deleting images not tied to a registered account on there, which is a damn shame. - source

When I was 14-15 the sickest thing you could do was slide/wear your double durometer wheels down to the inner durometer. Autobahn’s became popular at the time since I think they had the biggest core vs Ricta and Spitfire.

Lotta loud flat spotted wheels ripping around the park back then.

This man must know where all the bodies are buried.  There are dudes at my park over 45 that can do every single thing in this video.

The one at 1:54 looked good to me. Do you just dislike the cross-lock on curbs?
