Just the fact that you have to ask, says a lot. Jocks were the douchebags that would try to jump my friends and I for being different. I.E. we were skateboarders. We did our own thing without worry as to what the rest of the masses were doing. See, once upon a time, skateboarding was not cool by the standards set by the masses. It wasn't on TV. It wasn't a multi-billion dollar business. Sure we vibed each other a bit but the general consensus was skateboarders stuck together. We didn't care if you were punk, preppy or hip-hop. If you rode a skateboard, you were down. This is no longer the norm. Skateboarding is popular amongst young people. Therefore, you get tons of assholes trying to participate in a lifestyle, they know nothing about. And, they bring their fucked up I have to be cooler than the next guy attitudes with them. I seriously can't wait until skateboarding is not cool again. I hate all you jock fuckers trying to be down. Yes, this was a rant. Fuck off if you can't understand. Thank you and goodnight.

I know what you're getting at SFA.  The whiners who complain that Huf or Reese Forbes only do ollies and therefore suck are the same ones who can't work out why their parts are the way they are.  Speed, style, power and a shitload of hard to hit spots.  Sometimes though, you need to point out that whatever spot in the video part is just fucked and anything on it is good.   The haters are the unimaginative ones who can't handle anything that's not obvious, hence the hate.

Fuck you, douchebag. I've been skating for 18 years. It's not some trend to me, it's my life. I'll leave the tears to David Loy.

so your point is people shouldn't question why anyone is pro especially huf except justin eldridge.

wow, you've really thought about this.

i think people are misunderstanding me. im not trying to single out justin eldridge. im just saying "I" feel as though there is some justification to questioning justin's pro status while there is less in questioning hufs. the reason being is that kids just look at tricks. which to me is a jocks way of examining skating.

We all have our opinions. My opinions happen to be backed up by 18 years worth of skateboarding and 10 years of making a living from it. That was my point. Experience does count. Doesn't it? I'm not trying to come off as Mr. Hardcore Skateboarder Guy, just trying to back my opinion up.

Friendship, huh?

It's not like we're all coming out of the shower after the game, cheering about how we totally destroyed David Loy on a message board.

Come on. We're all just nerds with small penii here.

i get the point that it's lame to simply judge all skaters based on how many tricks they can do....but you're always going to have trick guys vs. style guys....

This is such a played out argument... I personally don't give a shit if someone doesn't like my favorite skater. Plus, seems like a lot of the same people who say fuck kids for hating Huff because, "He only does ollies!" also hate on Justin Eldridge becuase, "He only does nollie nosegrinds!" I really doubt that any of those kids really have any effect on Huff. It's a pretty lame outlook but it's really mainstream exposure's fault and something that's gonna stay around as long as skating is a big as it is now.
