I've finally found my people!!! Massive dome on my shoulders. No hats fit as the usually aren't deep enough. I usually go for truckers at second hand stores. Brixton does some hats for boof heads like us.
They laughed when I told my friends that I was going to be a comedian.....well they are not laughing now!

Kangol site has some 3 xl and maybe 4 so you'd be covered. Prolly other euro brands too.  It's not a skate thingy but that might be more ur steeze anyway.  Its always definitely been mine.  I strangely desire a Venture hoody tho.  Want to rep.

I'm gonna order a Ben Davis one and cut the label off, I got a decently big head, def had the problem before with the "dad" unstructured ones. Will report back on fit.

Don't know head size as I haven't had a new era in fifteen years but can't do most hats without getting the egg. Got a couple Rvca that are sort of like a trucker construction but just all canvas not mesh and sponge or whatever. Got leather strap with little brass clip thing that occasionally goes green but mad old now and none of them have broken.

I don’t know if you’ve pulled the trigger on this yet, but don’t. I picked one up last year and it fits me like a yarmulke. I tried soaking it and wearing it wet to stretch it out, and I guess the band did loosen up, but it didn’t get any deeper and looks ridiculous.  Last month I picked up an oddjob camo camp hat, and though the price stung a little… it’s real treat.  Previously was pretty much yupoong classics only guy.

Hah, word. Thanks for the heads up. I have an old Carhartt hat that fits like that. Just not deep enough, it's annoying

Damn surprised I never saw this thread…

I’ve got a similar issue.  I’m not quite sure when ALL skate companies started doing low profile hats but it’s a horrible trend and it sucks.  Thrashed hats are particularly bad, they fit my 5 year old.

I have an anti-hero hat that’s well over 10 years old that fits perfect…. Sits down low like I like em, looks
like it’s been through a war and slowly deteriorating.

I refuse to buy hats online now… they never fit.  Anybody has some links they can share please do.

For all my big 7 3/4" + headed homies looking for a unstructured strapback hat. Without doubt, Ebbets Field makes the best fitting & quality hat. Just filter for soft visor & adjustable. You're welcome.

Someone mentioned Ebbets earlier in the thread and I wish they hadn’t, because their hats look amazing, but getting one shipped North of the border would run me around 100 bucks.  Definitely worth looking into for all you US big headed dudes though!

If you're 7 3/4 and up, I wouldn't order the strapback from Ebbets. I emailed them and they said it fits like a 7 5/8 at its biggest adjustment. I got a 7 7/8 fitted one and it's great. They are pretty expensive in Canada with conversion and shipping, but they run good sales if you keep an eye out - you can get 40 or 50% off if you're patient, and then they're a little more reasonable.

I vouch for them as a really high quality hat, and it's nice that they're made in USA. Definitely worth paying a little extra for, especially if you need a huge size. They were purchased by Lids recently though, so hard to say how long all of the good stuff will remain true.

Was just about to buy a skate brand hat online and remembered no hats fit me. I've been running the same North Face Horizon hat since 2019 when the original link was posted here, but TNF stopped making it in a L-XL size. Just curious if anyone found some good options out there.

completely disagree about ebbets. sure they make hats with for large head sizes but they are not deep by any means. also most of them are wool and your head will be sweltering in it. if you're looking for a deeper fit hat i'd stay away.

I've got a NJ skate shop hat that I will never wear in public because it feels like a child's cap on my big head.
Side note: son asked me why it doesn't fit right and I told him that my head is big because I am so full of knowledge.
Blew his little mind at the time. I think that time has passed since.

What hat if you dont mind me asking

My l"love yourself" NJ hat has me in the same boat

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.
