I've had Osama from Carpet call me twice about something I ordered that was no longer in stock and if I wanted to replace it with something else. Dudes are so rad and it makes you really appreciate the little things like that versus a normal shop just canceling the item.

I was trying to find an old AH graphic and DMed Jim T who got Gerwer in touch with me and we just shot the shit for an hour via text.    Undying affection for those two

Jim T is an absolute gem of a human. I’ve had a few convos with him and all were great. One time Mickey posted about trying to get home from the couch tour here in Baltimore to SF and I was trying to help him as an airline worker and Jim was stoked and shot me an email. Sent a huge box and had a limited Tommy G board that I was like, man that is so sick I’m torn between skating it and hanging it. Jim said always skate it so you can look back on all the good time you had on it or something close.

just to add to the awesome reputation of DLX, I made a thread asking about their 8.62 shape on an old account years ago and it got some traction. within a week or so, LennyDLX hit me up and sent me the Gerwer board in that shape with the graphic of like a homeless dude and a pigeon or something. it truly is a great shape for those over 6' and with size 12-ish shoe size. super comfy.

This story warms me heart and makes me glad I copped one of Aaron's two debut pro boards (Reptilian). All of his graphics have been really aesthetically pleasing with interesting little details (dyed plies, gold foil, different textures and coatings, etc.). If he's responsible for all that, then he's even more of a snack than I thought he was. All praise be to West Park Wall Daddy.
